  1. ESPN……Not great for the All Star Weekend. (Or game broadcasts) Hockey fans love the game and there isn’t room, or need for silliness and drama. More skills, no dunk tanks and annoying interviews from people who seem to know little to nothing about the game.

  2. Here's the solution; if they can't afford to pay him what he wants, they don't resign him. That's it. Right now the Bruins are having a year so far that no one expected. I think it might have to do with Pasta having a career year, and a goalie that's in the vezina conversation. The core of this team continues to age out. If Pasta goes at the end of the year, he goes, cuz this isn't happening again next year.

  3. The last few weeks Elliotte Friedman,Frank Seravalli, than over the weekend Emily Kaplin have been saying that the Bruins and Pastrnak’s camp, have been getting closer and closer to a deal. than today I got an ESPN update on my phone saying that the Bruins know the number that it will take for the deal to happen. with a flat cap, there is going to be ramifications on this current roster to get a deal done. Clifton, Fredrick, Carlo and Grzelcyk are the most likely cap casualties. under no circumstances can I see a Swayman trade. he is a RFA this summer. I am sure that Debrusk fits into the long term plans. with trade protection, it would be hard to move Coyle or Hall. when the new league year starts, the Bruins will be over a negative four million cap overages. with Bergeron and Krejci. if they can find somewhere for Reilly and his contract, that will help with the cap overages. Pastrnak could double his salary. JP Berry is one of the power agents in the NHL, like at the game of chicken between Berry and the Predators last summer with Flip Forsberg. a deal was done within in hours of the start of free agency. if things fall apart, there is a few teams I could see making a run at him. Los Angeles, Philadelphia who is going to have a lot of cap room this summer. I hate to say it Montreal. Pastrnak with his electric personality going to the hockey Mecca of the NHL, along with Toronto. they have a very good prospect pool and a lot of draft capital. it might not be as crazy as it sounds.17 years into the salary cap era, it is a failed system. if teams want to pay a luxury tax that is their right. they should have roster exemptions, etc, like the NBA and NFL have. with all the money that ABC/ESPN and Turner paid for US television rights, I am sure there is about seven or eights teams that they want to be competitive every year. especially they know that fans will watch.

  4. 4:59 "The Hug" just has a life of it's own now. It's the cherry on top of a victory. Why think about it at this point? Just go with it.

  5. Pasta has always sort of slithered away come playoff series. I hope the bruins can use that to their advantage and get him for right under 11 or exactly 11. If they don’t get it done come playoffs and he shows up for the playoffs as a true stud then pay him 11.75/12. Also only things that worries me with him is if he doesn’t have the strength around him that he has had the last few years in Marchand/ Bergeron and fill in someone who plays well game to game like Krej he isn’t above 11. He isn’t like McDavid/ McKinnon who create their goals if they need and have unreal speed. He has had the luxury of posting in that left hand spot on PP being able to creep in as Marchand handles on the other side drawing the pressure to pad his points numbers a bit. He is still our future regardless despite that
