Kyrie Is Ruining His Career But The Mavericks Don't Care

Kyrie Irving is ruining his career and taking down teams with him, but the Mavericks don’t care. #kyrie #nba

Luka demanded help and the Mavs delivered. For half a season. Because Kyrie’s contract ends this season. Yes, the Mavericks traded Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney Smith, 1 first round pick, 2 second round picks…

With Kyrie, all you get is uncertainty. Uncertainty about him playing games. Uncertainty on if he’ll create distractions off the court.

The Nets were playing well, went 17-2 before KD got hurt, and looked like they were figuring it out. Kyrie even said he would never leave number 7. And then all of a sudden as KD is about to come back, he demands a trade? It blindsided everyone. Add that comment to the list of lies Kyrie has stated about staying.

No one understood why Kyrie was walking away from routine trips to the NBA Finals and getting the opportunity to play alongside the best player in the world on the Cavs. Oh… but that was the problem. People often forget the fact that Kyrie was actually granted ASSURANCE from Cleveland’s franchise that he would be the man going forward after signing a brand-new 90-million-dollar contract in 2014… well, then the team went out and signed LeBron in free agency just a week later. So, whatever hopes of becoming ‘the man’ on the team Kyrie had was immediately thrown out the window.

It seemed like Kyrie was good with being the 1A to LeBron’s 1. I mean they won a chip that way, but LeBron’s block was more credited than Kyrie’s shot. Kyrie averaging 27 points a game in the finals was an afterthought. When looking closely into it, the truth is, Kyrie might’ve been jealous of LeBron all along.

Again, the relationship as people doesn’t seem to be a problem. Every time Kyrie sees his former Celtics teammates, it’s all love **but Marcus Smart said one thing that summarizes the issue,** that the Celtics never truly understood him. Kyrie has had issues expressing what he wants.

I mean even on the Cavs, Kyrie would sometimes not talk to his teammates during playoff runs. And no one on the Cavs seemed to have a problem with that. It’s almost as if Kyrie believed he was LeBron. He saw LeBron up close get what he wanted from the organization, Bron firing passive aggressive shots at teammates in the public working. And that’s what’s happened on the Celtics and Nets. Remember when he publicly stated that the Nets needed 1-2 more pieces.

**Nice.** The Nets have been holding their breath since 2019.

I mean Kyrie said that the Nets didn’t even need a coach.

**But let’s take a second and think about on-court fit.** Luka has the 5th highest usage in the past decade…He’s scoring 80% of his field goals unassisted and putting up 2k numbers, averaging 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.2 assists.

He’s in much better shape, on pace to have his most dunks in a season and the Mavericks literally can’t do anything without him.

**But those glaring issues subside the moment you realize that Luka has another guy who can create his own shot.** The Mavericks offense has the highest isolation offensive frequency because their offense is literally run it through Luka and if Luka sits, run the same isolation offense through Dinwiddie. Kyrie without Kevin Durant has been able to lead the Nets to a 116 offensive rating, easily better than anything the Mavericks do without Luka. Nothing against, Dinwiddie, I like his game and I think he’ll thrive with the Nets again, but Kyrie demands more attention.

Luka still isn’t exactly the best spot up shooter on a very limited sample size, but he does shoot 38% on wide open 3s. And it’s more of a respect thing. Stars will be more likely to adapt for another star.

And of course, the Mavericks aren’t building for the regular season I hope**.** This is for the playoffs where we’ve seen Luka be the man but fall short, sometimes even be gassed in the 4th quarter when the entire defensive focus is on him. Porzingis didn’t help…

The Mavericks are most likely going to run Kyrie as a shooting guard, similar to what the Nets did with Harden and Kyrie sharing minutes. Let the playmaker continue to playmake and let the scorer get better looks. I mean y’all were saying Luka and Harden the same right.

But I’m gonna be honest. I have no idea how Jason Kidd is gonna design an offense. He has more pieces to work with, but from what we’ve seen, his offense is literally give the ball to one player and get out of the way, reminds me of another coach**********************.********************** Ahh yes, Steve Nash who felt like he had no option but to player Kevin Durant 40+ minutes

Now the Mavericks are confident that Jason Kidd will figure it out and we’ve seen the revitalization of the Nets under Jacque Vaughn. The team began to run more offensive sets that weren’t just isos. The team began to trust each other and the Nets were on their way to becoming the best team in the East before KD went down.

  1. The trade is a win/win no matter what Kyrie does. He works out and stays, great. It doesn’t and he leaves, it frees up 30 or so million under cap. Additionally, if he does stay, sense they’re waiting till the off season to talk extension, the Mavs can use that cap space and still resign Kyrie with their Bird right. If it doesn’t work, if solidifies him as a poison pill and he won’t get nearly the deal he wants. Oh and he requested the trade because business. The nets offer was trash. Can’t blame him for that. They set it up.

  2. I really hope it works out for Kai and the Mavs. As a Thunder fan, Mavs are one of the few teams I like personally so if Luka/Kai do some solid duo work, it'll be exciting to watch

  3. Would be funny if Kyrie ends up being like Melo and getting no team to play for his final years in the NBA.

  4. Kyrie could've quite easily been an MVP. But he blew it and now he'll never become one with Luka striving for it.👎🏽

  5. Not really take out the insane leftwing bs like Covid and the Jewish angle and it’s only his family and him wanting to be respected if you think they ain’t gonna respect him you crazy

  6. Anyone wanna explain to me why the Mavs enjoy cutting their own dicks off? They lost so much for a player for half a season. Wtf

  7. Good to see a video chronicling all of this guys bullshit. People have short memories. Acting like he is a great teammate.

  8. Kyrie talked about the ownership of the nets saying that he left because they didn't respect him, but how they gonna respect you if you don't show up to work the guy took haft of the days in his contract off 😱

  9. Stop with Luka high usage. He play like this coz he have to,not coz he wona to.

  10. I think Kyrie wants to stay but he is principle based. If he feels that hes veen done wrong he will leave. Joe did him wrong!

  11. man the title is lowkey fucked up 🤒 kai just wanna ball fr man but the job comes with a lot extra noise when you are at the top of the top

  12. These clickbait videos really need to be 11 minutes long?? Kyrie tried to resign with Brooklyn they didn’t give him is max so he left. Very simple!

  13. I know people will disagree with me, but Luka plays similarly to Lebron, minus the crazy vert. I see this working very well. Not a Kyrie fan, but Luka has what it takes.

  14. Luka ain't like those players.
He'll give Kyrie the ball in the 4th and let him dominate.

  15. If Kyrie was as smart as he makes himself out to be, he would have realized that there are no 4-year contracts for him to find out there. Attendance directly impacts job security. He's in a position where he has to earn a teams' commitment by… what's that thing called again… oh yeah, actually playing.

    Deep thinker ideed.

  16. I feel like Kyrie is the modern day Stephon Marbury but with a ring….as a casual nets fan all I can say is I wish him the best. He is poetry in motion when he wants to play.

  17. Well, obviously the main reason made Kyrie request the trade, which you clearly missing for some reason, is that on top of all the childish deamnds Tsai had for Kyrie, he also offered him straight out a "win a championship or go home" for the maximum contract Kyrie was looking for. It's easy to focus on the controversy of Kyrie's figure, hard to spot how the media and front office's treat human beings. Because since you're talking about commitment, definitely keep that in mind.

  18. Kai asked for a trade because Brooklyn could not give him the extension he wanted that's why he was sent to Dallas because outside of Luka and C wood they have the money to do so

  19. But what does ruining his career mean? What if his career is going exactly how he wants it. That opinion is just annoying to me.

  20. Kyrie did the Nets a huge favor. Think about it. How many times have players going into free agency told their team they want to stay and then they book leaving the team without any compensation. Kyrie was updront and told the Nets what he was going to do. This allowed the Nets to act in a manner best positioning them self for the future. More players need to be honest about this. I’m leaving/I’m staying. It’s a huge price to pay to have a player leave without allowing g the team to get assets back. Good for you Kyrie. Hopefully this starts a trend.

  21. Once again, your stupidity shocks me how can you ruin your career? Do you see how much he gets paid? I don’t think his career is over. Do you make that much money? No not even close, so is your career over?

  22. aye watch this video blow up when he and Luka make them moves. but Dinwiddie and Kinney-smith being traded, plus 1 1rst round and 2 2nd rounds is kinda wack for him and mnaruc Morris. like snow they have to rebuild again or they cn do what the nets did and keep him for a bit and trade hime for more stock and young talent

  23. “Kyrie Irving would be dismissed as a comical buffoon if it weren’t for his influence over young people,” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
