Kris Letang scored the winning goal in overtime assisted by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, while Casey DeSmith made 41 saves to help the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1.

    I'm an Avs fan, but man this year has been rough to watch. Losing to bad teams, blowing leads, just loving to hit the crossbar more than the back of the net, injured players all around and defense that is really subpar and lackluster and finally paying Landeskog who hasn't played this entire season. I am not a Landy fan at ALL and I think the Avs really messed up signing him again vs. a younger healthier player. But hey, he could come back and help the team out a bunch i guess we will see. Not a cup team this year at all though.

    I know Letang got the OT winner, but I still think Desmith should’ve gotten the first star, absolutely stellar performance in net

    Wow – a great hockey game with piles of action and some amazing stops at the nets. Happy for my grandson, Kai, the Penguins won.
