LOL idiot. Id trade him.
refs need to be held responsible because at this point every single person knows its getting out of hand, and yet they still keep fucking everything up. its kinda embarrassing to be honest.
The NHL has rule "Rule 39 – Abuse of Officials" which must be what was applied here (though I believe a minor penalty is expected to be given first, so I'm not sure what happened here). Your video seems to suggest there should be some on-ice equivalent that applies to refs. I can't think of a sport where that would be the case. Referees need to be seen to be acting together as a single authority during a game. So, while a ref might question a call made by another ref and have it altered upon agreement, on-ice discipline of refs by refs (or some other authority) would be chaotic. Referee conduct needs to be dealt with by the league outside of game time where refs are either disciplined, retrained, sanctioned, etc.
Fus-Ro-Dah? Nah it was a Krii-Lun-Aus. Come on fellow Norseman get your shouts right!
When Hagel acted up, the Lightning completely lost all of the moral high ground they had.
i did the same thing in my minor game and i got 10 mins too😭
The Antonio Brown of hockey
Hagel should have followed through. whacked the official right in the face. when the officials start getting smacked for making stupid calls, they'll stop making stupid calls.
Players and officials ARE NOT EQUALS on the ice. A linesman herding a player who's throwing a temper tantrum is never going to do harm to that player. A player making a half swing at a referee who made a bad call is acting like he wants to do harm to that referee and is the literal definition of unsportsmanlike conduct. These events are not even remotely comparable and trying to say that there should be some sort of equality applied to them is just unintelligent.
Should refs be held accountable for their bad calls? Yes. That is a totally different conversation.
Hagel used the momentum to flip the stick ad his arm over. He's an idiotic ass, but this was nothing.
Bro your blatantly leaving out info or you don't know what you're talking about. The wild were getting away with murder up to that point. Why don't you just say I don't like the lightning so I want to spin a narrative to make them look bad. At least then you would be being honest with your audience.
As a wild fan who didn't get to watch this game, with no context i see Hagel not swinging his stick anywhere near the ref. Sort of like slamming his stick on the ice but sideways. It's for sure dangerous and probably should be a penalty, but no one got hit and it didn't even look like swinging at a ref is what he was going for.
That said, the 10 minutes could be for the whole meltdown, we don't know all he said to the refs
Bottom line though, Hagel is a spaz and i don't feel bad for him.
10 minutes? seriously. I hate the bolts and a side of me finds it funny but come on man.
Dude, maybe watch more than the last 10 seconds. Hagel didn’t do a half swing at the ref. He was showing how he got whipped around 30 seconds earlier on a missed call. You’re so dumb.
I'm on the half that think its no big deal…he immediately realized it was too much and stopped himself
that idiot ref who shoved Bunting obviously is upset he's a ref and Bunting is a top-line NHL player. He should never be allowed to officiate in a Leaf game, ever.
How did that old guy pull off that Michigan at the beginning? Sick move!
You were a little off the mark on this one Johnny, he was asking about a missed call from a slash….not swinging at the ref.
tampa syndrom
You think this is bad look at JP Parise in game 8 I think of the summit series I thought he was actually going to chop the refs head off
Yea You no killed me to steal my answers to make them with god we have
Yea he did it to you
God
What am and are you i worth today well
he stopped himself in the last second… He deserved that penalty 100%
Does anyone want to bet that the refs are doing it on purpose and they will soon go on a strike to get more money because they are underpaid or that the refs are betting on the games because they do not make enough money?
That’s what Tampa gets it’s karma how many penalties they get away
Refs are and always will be bad. This is exactly what the 10min misconduct is made for.
Sergachev takes a ton of penaltys.
This is tough because it’s a provocative thing to do. To feint a swing at a ref is going to draw a reaction every time but I do think 10 minutes was too much. They could have given him 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike.
It seems that he was showing him what happened on the play…or he was being a goof
I like getting highlight videos but man this channel keep getting worse and worse. The takes have devolved into making mountains outa anthills. This isn't the only video I haven't been able to take seriously after only a couple statements. But this one i watched the game live and it comes across egregiously. First overblown point to make it seem like he has anything to offer analytically; he says Hagel is a pest and known to do this kind of stuff. What imaginary games are you getting this from or does johnny somehow know some never mentioned insight about Hagel's play before the NHL. Second why stoke a fire of your own creation, making people think he had any malicious intent swing his stick? Any person with a half sense of how the body works knows he clearly just abruptly turns to bark something new at the ref and the stick was already being used to express himself. It then gets quickly spun around with his arm as he moves to face the ref. Third he's not flying off the handle over nothing; I don't know where you conjured up his proclivity for that kind of thing either. He's the one most upset cause multiple blatant calls were missed but the most recent was himself getting hooked while attacking with a chance to score about to form.
I like Brandon it was a good trade good addition to the team
