  1. It’s nice that we have a solid goalie but I do think we should get some better defense before the trade deadline because last night the first goal scored by the red wings was literally our defense doing nothing to help out Campbell

  2. Coilers fans delusions
    Everyone knows they are illusions

To the playoffs Coilers might sail
But like always it will be a fail

Fans still think they can win a cup
But the reality is they are a mickey mouse club.

McDavid gets dissapointed and so does Drai
After this season they say bye bye

  3. Before the season started, I placed a bet that the Oilers would win the Cup this year. If they actually win, I think I will retire with my winnings.

  4. Soup has been on his game the past little while, won't deny it. I wasn't happy with his gameplay at the beginning.

  5. Oilers is my team…and I agree the team is coming together nicely…. But we will see how they do at the end of February…that’s when they start going against the top teams…. Bruins….leafs…jets… stars….golden knights…. Etc… They’ve had a string of bottom tier teams lately… which is great for them to get a few wins and build some confidence and consistency….. but….we’ll have to see if they manage to carry it through…I hope so.

  6. Over the past 3 or 4 seasons, the Oilers have not had a reliable/ solid goalie. If Jack & Stu can keep this going, who knows how far they can go.

  7. Jack is playing way better but I'm pretty sure it's not his 7th straight start. He got a lot of starts when Skinner was off for the birth of his kid. Now that Jack's hot I'm sure he will get a ton more starts going forward but I'm sure Skinner will get his fair share too. It's great to see. Good that the Oilers don't have to lean only on Skinner.

  8. The Oilers are definetly gonna be the first Canadian team to win the Cup since 1993. Not sure if it’ll be this year, but they’ll be the first to do it.

  9. They have an easier schedule to finish the year for the most part as well. McDavid and Draisaitl's numbers also always increase post-all star game. I think Calgary and Edmonton both get in at the very least, maybe Edmonton does end up at the top of the division. I don't have much faith in Seattle or LA (unless they go out and get legit goaltending at the deadline.) Vegas who knows, might have too many significant injuries again this year.

  10. Leafs fans listening to this sitting at the edge of the bed with their face in their hands, hating reality 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  11. We’ve never had two goalies that you feel confident in before, this is pretty neat, also the sudden ability to play team defence and rapidly growing depth scoring means this Oilers team feels different, not strictly the Connor and Leon show like the last few years

  12. They have the fire power and vegas, and la,and the cracken r faultering.calgary cant keep up so,they r in and soon on top,but like the jets, goaltending will determan the outcome,oh and fair officiating.

  13. ngl, i was definitely not a fan of campbell during that first half of the season but i always hoped he'd get settled and find his game. seems to be the case now and hopefully he'll just continue to get better. i don't think the oilers will win a cup but they may get close in the next few years.

  14. Not really true…last night against detroit, neither McDavid or Draisaitl were good….albeit is doesn't happen very often.

  15. Is nobody able to look at the shedule? They had / have a favorable stretch, and that`s a part of why they are 8-1-1. And don`t forget, the OT loss was vs. a horrible Columbus team.
They have not been that bad when they struggled, but they are also not as good as the talks are now.
Still have plenty of issues, though goaltending doesn`t look like one anymore.
But their defense as a team isn`t great, and it`s what keeps them from being a contender. They lack 2 way forewards, and as good as McDrai are offensivly, in their own end they are average.
The D-corps i mediocre, as their top 4 is just not good enough. Seems like Nurse, Ceci, Barrie, Kulak, they all play one spot to high for their skill level.
Nurse would be a great 2nd D, but as your top D he`s too often out of position and lacks scoring potential.
On top, they have a issue with 3 of their middle 6 F: Yamamoto, Puljujarvi, Foegele eat 9 million cap but lack output. Derek Ryan is taking the empty top 6 RW spot, Kostin and Janmark provide for 2 million cap hit what the other 3 aren`t able to give.

As much as i would like to see McD and Draisaitl – and Hyman and RNH, who are playing great seasons – to win, that`s too much topics.
