Only if they cross over. With how well the Oil, Kraken, Kings, and Vegas are playing (although Vegas has been slumping); Flames have zero chance of making it in the West without one of those teams bottoming out. The have a losing record overall and in W/L with a points prop up by getting so many loser points

I say no not enough star players and the coach and management think Markstrom is the #1 goalie for whatever reason. The loss of their best players is really showing and the ones they signed aren’t near good enough imo.
If Sutter continues to play Markstrom, the Calgary Flames will not make the playoffs. Markstrom best hockey was hehind him before the game 1 of the Oiler series last year. Sutter might need to be replaced if he can't see the forest from the trees, and start playing the backup.

funny to listen to this one day after. Markstrom was great. Peltier shows promise but still not ready. he's close but not there. not sure what the fans in calgary are watching but to me this team looks slow and dis interested. suter not giving the kids a chance ? Oh man. Phillips was terrible and looks like a career AHL player. walker duher is the only kid that should be playing. he'd be better playing with kadri and huberdeau than peltier.
