At least our power grid works when its gets chilly?

  2. Backblast

This is what I was expecting from this team since the beginning of this year unfortunately. They have over-performed up to this point, and this is how its gonna be for the rest of this year and the next 2.

  3. Goose312

I know players don’t actually tank, but you wouldn’t know it watching about 14/18 guys on the ice for the Wild.

  4. fastal_12147

Didn’t even show up. Call up Walker and Rossi because no one else wants to play, obviously. Only guys who are there every night are Kap and Zucc

  5. HemoKhan

Oooooofdah. What an abysmal effort all night. I know the Stars are a good team but it felt like we just couldn’t do a damn thing against them. Feels like the wheels are kinda coming off; not a great look lately.

  6. HerbalAndy

I wouldn’t exactly call this panic mode because I didn’t have huge expectations to begin with.. but this is officially where panic mode begins had this been a good team at the beginning.. based on all of January and now February this is not a playoff team and I wouldn’t be surprised if we miss the playoffs.. fucking bring Sammy and Beckman and Shaw back up like we had when we were dominating in January

Edit: I got a feeling Billy will start going trade heavy here in the next few weeks to make some rosters spots for the kids in Iowa and I am all for it.

  7. Red_0utlaws

4 goals against?!??!!? GUSTAVSSON WASHED! MORE LIKE GUS THE BUST! TRADE HIM RIGHT NOW! ^(/s)

  8. odin_the_wiggler

Well, I drank some beers and talked to the best fan base in hockey, so we lost but I still feel like I earned a W.

  9. essenceofpurity

    Didn’t watch this one

I was in a bad mood from work and didn’t need the aggravation.

Sounds like the refs were spot on with their agenda as usual.

    Fuck the refs and Bettman!

    Fuck Norm Green!

Fuck hockey in Texas as it doesn’t belong there!

Classic wild January/February slump. Like clockwork.

  11. RedGenie87

Shitty effort from a shitty club. Spurgeon needs that C removed cause he’s just not pushing this team. And his effort at the end, was abysmal. If he’s hurt, he shouldnt be out in the ice either

  12. rubbercat

Can’t “lose” if we don’t actually show up to the rink. Back to Cabo, boys!

  13. DaRealHankHill

Of all the mediocre Wild teams this may be the most. People aren’t going to want to hear it, but if Spurgeon didn’t have an NMC, it would absolutely make sense to trade him for future assets.

He’s a great player now and the team would be worse without him, but he’ll turn 36 a month into the low buyout penalty seasons and our window is opening back up. Right now he has a ton of value and it’s a toss up whether he’ll keep it up for another 3-4 years.

It’s obviously a moot point with his NMC, but a player like Spurgeon could net some valuable pieces that would be developed and on the upswing in 2 years.

I like that our call guys are calling it like it is more often when it comes to refs – “they’ve already given the Wild 3 powerplays, they aren’t likely to get anymore”.

And whaddya know, somehow the Stars play the cleanest hockey (according to the stripes) anyone has ever seen, the rest of the way out! Benn literally ripped off Hartman’s helmet, headlocks him for 10 seconds, then FLIPS him over onto his back. Next shift, Hartman swings at the puck, Benn steps into his stick, Hartman immediately drops the stick, TRIP. Greenway dives to make a play on the puck, barely connects with the player at all, guy falls 15 feet after connection was made, PENALTY SHOT.

I dunno, the reffing shit to keep things equal makes the games just not even enjoyable anymore. Fucking sick of this shit.

Edit: to be clear, not blaming the refs for the loss. Team played like ass. It’s just really not fun when on top of the team playing like ass, you know the refs will fuck your team because it’s “your turn” to be fucked. It makes games entirely predictable.

  15. _CakeFartz_

Bout done wasting my time watching this team..

  16. hankginoistaken

At least the Wild got beat by a Minnesota goalie who is kicking ass and ran out of room on his list of names, which is nice to see for a change.

  17. twiggz612

Honestly if we keep losing and end up with a better draft pick in a really stacked draft year thats okay.

  18. _CakeFartz_

Trade the whole team except Boldy, Kap, Zuccy, Ek, Addison, Midds & Gus.

  19. KaprizFox

They suck so bad right now and all I can think is “man, this team isn’t built for the playoffs” but then in like 2 weeks they’ll go on like an 8 game winning streak and all of a sudden they look like a serious cup contender

I literally never know what to expect from this team lol

  20. fishchanka

I’m not panicking. Is the annual mid season skid and we will pick back up just in time to get a playoff spot. Just so we can go on to lose 4 straight after winning the first 2 games in the first round. Yay Minnesota sports!!!

But for real Dean needs to shake some things up, it’s time to scratch reaves for Shaw and get Walker up for a few games. We need some desperation and energy added back to the team. I wish we had a D prospect that we could bring up so we could shake up some of the pairings. Addison can be good on offense but he has been bad on both ends lately and dumba is just dumba. It’s sucks that our only other choice on the blue line is goose right now

  21. jordynbebus8

where the fuck is walker?? idc about rossi but WALKER?? HE HAS SPEED

  22. jordynbebus8

walker should not be in iowa at this rate, he’s a mature prospect with speed and grit to play minutes. he doesn’t need any “cooking” in Iowa fuck

  23. KaprizFox

Gus Bus is 100% the most important FA to re-sign this offseason

  24. McFluffums0

Just gonna regurgitate my thoughts from the game day thread. There were a half dozen forwards that had unacceptable performances in that game. Hartman and Greenway led that list. They’ve been bad lately, and I really didn’t think they would get worse, but they both did. Reaves could barely muster a strongly worded letter addressed to Benn after his mauling. Steel was awful, I’m not even sure Moose played, Dean refused to juggle in the face of all of that, Addison was showing that he’s not exactly comfortable in his own end MULTIPLE times, and I’m pretty sure Dumba is doing this on purpose now. Can’t trade him if he has brutal turnovers like that every single fucking game.

We expect this team to provide even a speedbump for Vegas, Colorado, Dallas, Winnipeg, even Seattle in the playoffs? Do something major before the trade deadline, find a way to provide a miracle in the room, or buckle up and get ready for those lottery balls.

  25. This must certainly be Fleury’s fault somehow. Right r/wildhockey?

  26. a_humanoid

Not to be a downer, but I think we should wave the white flag here. Fire sale on March 3rd.
