    Forwards; 2015. D and G; 2003.

    So probably 2003.

  2. LegoLamborghini

Whoever takes the W wouldn’t be doing it in 4 or 5 games, that’s all I know.

  3. WhoDoYouPlayFor

I’d say 2003 just based off the physicality from the defense. Also the goaltending is much better than 2015’s.

  4. 2003 would literally mop the ice with the whole 2015 squad

  5. SweatyCockroach8212

My question is “when”? At each player’s peak, or today? If it’s today, 2015 crushes them, in large part because so many of the 2003 guys are retired.

Yeah, the 2003 defense is much better, but the 2015s are still developing. Defensemen peak from 27 to 30 years old and they’re 25.

I dont mean to be that guy, and its kind of unpopular opinion, but at their peaks, 2003 draft class defense would dominate against 2015 draft class, especially with those goaltenders and huge huge shutdown defenseman with good shot as well,if it was playoff I am fairly certain 2003 would sweep 2015 … especially with so many two way forwards as well, I think 2003 would be dominating strategically as well, the only problem I could see is speed of 2015 forwards. 4:1 for 2003 to win the best draft class.

  7. ottereckhart

    Byfuglien wins.

Did yall know he was an 8th round pick? In other words he would be undrafted in today’s draft

  8. leafs119393

This isn’t close. Forwards is somewhat close but edge to 2003. Defence and goalies is 2003 by a mile.

  9. slappedlikelobov

Bergeron, Getzlaf, Staal, Richards, Kesler, Brown, Perry, Weber. 2015 class would get absolutely wrecked.

  10. justaguy826

Are we saying all these guys are at their peak? If so, 2003 wins in 5.

  11. Jealous-Emphasis2745

    Peak: 03’s in 5. 15’s win game 1, and then the 03’s adjust, and win the next 4. Scores – (4:7, 4:3 OT, 5:3, 7:5, 4:2)…

The series is closer Thant the 4-1 tilt, but in a 7 game series, the more complete team will prevail, and that’s the 03’s

  12. Dion Phaneuf was pretty good (2003), I’d probably take him over Coburn to make 2003 even better.

  13. Depends what round. First round, 2015, since speed and skill still matter. Second round toss-up. Conference or Stanley Cup then 2003. By those rounds the legs are too heavy. Speed and skill can give way to physicality and size, which 2003 has more of.

  14. 2003. the physicality and grind will demoralize and wear on 2015. 4-2 series

  15. TheKrowDontFly

Offense makes highlight reels on sports shows in January and February, but Defense and Goaltending win championships in the Spring, so definitely 2003.

  16. ArnieAndTheWaves

If we’re talking primes, Phaneuf as a 7D and Halak as 3rd string is all you need to know, 2003 wins it. 2015 wins for forwards though.

Sorry to Hanifin and Phat Ras, love yas (and Vladar, if that’s who Vlader is supposed to be).

  17. ziggyjoe212

15 has better forwards but 03 has much much better D and G.

03 would win this in 5.

Also, Getzlaf would be the 1c, not Bergeron. He’s easily the best offensive player for 03.

Also, who is Miere? Is that Timo Meier?

  18. malinatorhouse

I’d take 03. 7 game series they are going to wear the other guys down.

  19. No-Tune-9435

Depends on when they play. Imagine both in their primes, but officiating circa 2007? 2003 team wins hands down – just way too physical. Now imagine reffing circa 2021? 2015 skates circles around them bc there’s just too much space for that class’s speed

  20. warrenjets

Well…since they are 12 years younger and still playing i will go with 2015 in 3. The NHL cancela game 4 when they realize how bad the 2003 class looks in 2023
