These are the low key genius moves Dubas makes. There’s no way the Leafs lose this deal, because you can easily get rid of this if it was necessary. Best case, this guy greatly exceeds 1.1M in value for the next two years.

I’ve been a fan since that amazing world juniors run and quietly have been trying not to get hopes up with his time on the Leafs but now we can finally enjoy having him around for a while locked in to a nice deal

Anyone complaining about Rielly’s cap hit needs to appreciate that Dubas has been incredibly efficient with practically every other defenseman signing/extension.

This whole process of acquiring, developing and extending Timmins has been a masterful roster victory for Dubas and the Leafs. Could be one of Dubas’ best value contracts to date. The ceiling on Timmins’ untapped potential/ development is still very high.
This is another DUBAS W. Common at this point. 3 D men in the top 6 making a combined 3.9 mil SIGN ME UP.
Very good deal. Excited to see him grow with the team. Love what I’ve seen so far.
Oh and he’s an RFA with no arbitration at the end of the deal :).
