Or 8 for 5 (most I'd go cap)
7.5 for 6 (likely the sweet spot.)
Anything beyond one of these is a bad signing imo. His numbers are definitely a bit inflated by the stars he's playing with.

These are the rational deals you REALLY want to get Landeskog for. If the Avs are below this, than another team really needs to try to pick him up. I really hope the Blues can get him but not at a ridiculous overpay.

Landeskog is a better player than Mackinnon was when he signed his 6.3 million dollar deal. As weird as that sounds, Mackinnon was only a 0.7 ppg player 3 years into his career when he signed that deal. It would be pretty unfair for him to get less than Mackinnon right now even if it would help the team out. I see him getting between 7 and 8.

Steve hit the nail on the head. As an avs fan weโre not used to this. Iโm super anxious to see what happens. They have to sign landy, grubauer anddd makar. And thatโs with letting several players walk in free agency.

Swedes, exception for Nylander, usually donยดt demand over the top salary's. Might be wrong. But N.Lidstrom never negotiated salary. Always put Detroit before himself. Now maybe he was one of a kind so I might be totally wrong on this one. But anywho, I hope Landeskog will remain at the Avs๐ค

Grab Landeskog, trade Marner. Do it the Vegas and Rangers way… duh. And doubly so with how short the terms are on your top4F core.

Why not? He wasn't really an impact player. Avs took off when Mackinnon and Rantanen took off. Landeskog is a complimentary player. They don't need to give him a pay day at his age. Other teams are in positions where they can.
Donโt worry, Doobs will trade Marner and immediately sign Landeskog to a 10 mil a year deal for 6 years.
i think if the habs can put weber on LTIR then we can use that money to sign landeskog and maybe pull a tampa and get weber back for the playoffs

If Landy walks kyle palmeri if not signed by the isles would be a nice alternative Same type of player and cheaper comes down to taking less to put talent and depth around you if you want the cup or do you want a big pay day when there's other free agents that can be utilized to fill that void you take a team friendly deal to win so there's money you build around apparently Mackinnon is the only guy that gets it and said he will take another pay cut to win that's what a captain does cause Mackinnon could easily be making 12mill a season so take the 6mill or walk
Some other teams should pay 10 million dollar for Landeskog. Best player with the lowest salary in the team noway. The best players make the another players good. Colorado will pay 5 million dollars. Maybe other players in the team are overpriced so Landeskog most leave. Why the first line is great is beacuse of Landeskog. If he leave the first line will play bad.
