   Sadly, Hajek being on waivers is a result of the numbers crunch after the big trade with the NYR and Blues earlier–it is possible he may be claimed but not likely. Horrible news about Rasmus Andersson getting injured off-ice–here's to a speedy recovery, RA. Thanks for another excellent report. 😊Thanks to the deal, the Blues currently have two first-round picks at the upcoming NHL Draft, and that was something GM Armstrong coveted.

   It makes literally absolutely no sense for Montreal to do anything like that. In my opinion, they absolutely should trade Anderson but not for a guy like PLD, he has shown tendencies of being toxic as hell in the past and already has said that he’s going to free agency in a year so even if they wanted him they could just wait because he said he wants to play for Montreal.

   In order for Montreal to sign Dubois, even as a free agent in 2024, they would have to clear out the cap space. So it would actually make sense to do a fair deal with Winnipeg this summer where they have Winnipeg take on some of the money they need to get rid of to make it work. As a Jets fan, here's fair deal: Dubois for Anderson + the later of Montreal's 1sts at this year's draft. That would be fair. Dubois is a beast, an absolute stud. Would be the Habs long-term #1 center for the next 8 years.

   Your on the right track..Duch n Anderson could get it done for Dubois but the jets are going to exhaust every avenue available to try n keep Dubois..jets are not making a deal without a centre guaranteed

   Winnipeg is dealing from a position of weakness here. PLD has made it known that he plans to go to Montreal which lessens his value in the long run.

   Winnipeg's hands might just be tied here.

    I think it would work for both sides if the Jets and Dubois can settle on a two- or three-year extension in the offseason. The Jets would get Dubois in some of his prime and Dubois would get to free agency after that, which he wants. Obviously the Jets would want him on an eight-year deal, but Dubois probably isn’t looking for that in Winnipeg. Things can change though for Dubois with the way the team turned around this season.

    I'd rather take our chances with Dubois. If it is his true intent to play elsewhere then the Jets might as well just use him as a rental for one more year. Jets window might be closing anyway with the uncertainty of other contracts…. Scheifele and Hellebuyck hit UFA when Dubois is eligible in the summer of 2024. If the Jets win a cup over the next two years I'm happy. Maybe if the Jets go deep this year he changes his mind. Jets could offer him lots.
