I thought they played bad in the first period, no passes were connecting and they were just out there skating everywhere not really having a plan but second period and out they played well. Except the power play which again was just no passes connecting.
This will never happen too many things would have to go right but can only imagine a trade like this, is pull the trigger to get Brady tkachuk, package I would offer, rhino hasn’t been has effective as we thought, ekplad (NMC) is getting older but still an effective player when healthy. I dont hate rhino actually hes one of my favorite players but this trade has to be enticing to get brady. Brady and Matthew are just those type of guys to propel the team in the playoffs. We lock them up for 6/8 years, brothers playing together will have the best chemistry and bring the best out of them. One with barkov and other with Lundell then Bennett and verhage in the top 6, Etu developing really well. They are true hockey players that are born for playoff hockey with grit and physicality, I think they can get it done without a doubt can florida will be a valid nhl franchise. Honestly ekplad hubby and Sasha are the face of the franchise but we just traded away the biggest one. If they won play off series and advance further maybe you still ride and run it back with it but they been first round exits every year. It proved it was time for a change and getting rid of ekplad/rhino picks for that player I think can work. I would roll the dice one more time. Zito does a good job with undrafted guys as our draft picks and in a few years bob contract and hornquist will free capital to work on the defense. Lock up our boys Montour, Forsling, Gudas. One more thing Mathew tkachuk is just that guy with the dog mentality.
