as a fantasy owner of both robertson and krastov…. i approve of this deal… these 2 players will have 0 impact on their current teams and need to be moved

value-wise, this is an even trade.. might need to bring in Arizona or Anaheim in to eat $2.625m of toews’ contract to make this realistic tho.. might cost another 3rd or 2nd rd pick to do so
He's only 21. How could anybody write him off.
As always pure spec but Dubas may sacrifice Robertson he cant play this year and his job is on the line. Toews gives them depth up the middle like no one.
I'd prefer a higher end player…an impact player, but I kinda like this deal. The depth at centre is appealing! No pressure on Toews for high production playing on the 3rd line, but upgrades that line significantly.

10yrs ago this would have been a good for the Leafs. In 2023 it makes no sense for now or the leafs future.dubas makes this deal now he's fired on the spot. Not going to happen.
