  1. I don't think the fighting in this situation helped, it derailed focus, oilers just could not get puck in the net in the first, Montreal 1-0.

  2. First game where Vinny had a reasonably poor defensive game and the team lost. What does that tell you about the rest of our defensive core as a unit? Vinny is literally the glue that holds our D Core together.

  3. Draisaitl is back to walking and hobbling on his skates. He's also struggling with upper body strength to protect the puck. Missing sniper shots from his office. He's now digging for more junk goals in the blue paint than executing his usual finesse goals from outside the blue paint. He's clearly injured.

  4. Oilers were never in this game they looked like a team that played yesterday. My one problem Iā€™m seeing is the power play and Loui touched bases on it. Itā€™s too passive not enough attacking the net.

  5. Jay ā€œwe werenā€™t sharp right from the get go, we are made to payā€ Woodcroft

  6. It may be that Leon is hurt yet againā€¦ā€¦he only skates one way, rarely forechecks, and NEVER backchecksā€¦ā€¦.constantly gliding around looking for passesā€¦ā€¦.lazy Leon may be his best descriptor.

  7. The oilers going back to be unreliable. Winning random games and losing random games

  8. I'm starting to wonder if Draisaitl has another secret injury tbh. If you watch his play style, confidence and ice movement from October to December and compare it to the last 6 to 8 weeks something seems off. He's missing his one timers constantly and he just seems to be skating slow and not engaging in puck battles anymore either. Something is up and i don't believe some comments where people say he's just "being lazy" I have a feeling something is up physically……

  9. Some games are best not commented upon for they can be to revealing. Something about "The Book". Paul could really use some help now before Playoffs get here. The Oilers wanted this game and they worked very hard to win it they did not roll over and give it away. Rest Refocus Reset.

  10. Leo either has a long term injury or hes lazy af with his skating.

  11. Get Leon off the GD ice if heā€™s injured. If I hear one more comment about Leon being lazy Iā€™ll spit.

Heā€™s probably not the easiest person to bench due to injury, but someone needs to tell him heā€™s out. Enough is enough.

I like Woody but if it comes out that he was pushing or allowing those guys to play even though he knew they shouldnā€™t, Iā€™ll stuff him in a locker at Rogers.

Game 7ā€™s are one thing, Sunday afternoon-second game in 24 hours-games in early February are another. I hope Woody knows the difference.

  12. Welcome to the top 10 lines Jay Woodcroft should never say again in a press conference. Coming in at #10) if you take liberties on our players we're going to hurt you with our power play. #9) the Los Angeles game really touched us and it's a feeling that we don't want to go back to. #8) I disagree, I saw a very competitive game on the ice #7) we don't think about being #1 in our division we take it one game at a time. #6) That player may or may not be available tonight #5) yes we lost 2 points, but I liked the way all our guys played tonight #4) I disagree, teams like Montreal, Ottawa, Arizona, Philadelphia, San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago these are all great teams that can hurt you when you're not ready. #3) We'll learn from it and move on. #2) Stuart Skinner is on top of his game and we're all happy for him he's an All Star in his rookie year. And the #1 line Jay Woodcroft should never say again in a press conference is…Leon is one of the best puck protectors in the league.

  13. What the Hell was that ? Blowing a 2 – 6 lost to a Team at the bottom of there division 8th place and we are 3rd In our division. 8th Montreal Canadiens losing to them 2 – 6
