Filip Mesar Is On Fire Right Now

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at Filip Mesar’s recent play lately for the Kitchener Rangers. Filip Mesar was selected in the first round by Montreal at the NHL 2022 draft, and despite not wanting to play in the OHL, ultimately, with the guidance of Kent Hughes, he decided to give it a shot.. and so far, he’s looked really good.

  1. he will definitely make the team if not next year then the year after but I think we will see him in Montreal before next season is over

  2. I was just telling a friend of mine this week that Mesar is like the forgotten draft pick. Slafkovsky was the first overall pick and made the team out of camp. There was endless news about him this season. Owen Beck won a gold with team Canada at the WJC and played a game for the Habs recently. Everyone's talking about how great he was at camp, he's having a great season and how he might be able to make the team out of camp next season. Then there's Lane Hutson breaking all sorts of records in the NCAA, tearing up the league and he's got almost as many points as Logan Cooley who was picked 3rd at the draft. Lane also had some impact in the WJC and won a bronze medal with the US national team.

Mesar has gone under the radar this season even if he did play in the WJC. He's having a pretty good year himself but it's like he's just not been as lucky as the other three guys. So it's nice to see you give this player some love. I hope to see him play along side Juraj at one point in their careers.. Hopefully sooner than later.

  3. Caufield Suzuki Slaf one line Bedard Dach Mesar another line. Perfect balance of scoring, defense, playmaking, size and compete level.

  4. Two studs from last year draft and… 5 if NOT more to come in next 3 drafts I CANT WAIT to see this team in 3 years also with forward prospects (mesar Farrell Roy beck kappen )to name a fewi think anderson is good as gone as soon as some team gets desperate enough imo we have 4 of are top 6 forward core (caufield Suzuki dach Slaf ) that leaves only 2 open spots for future if anderson is dealt

  5. I was hoping for more points this year in the OHL (he was on pace for around 1.5 pts per game his first 10 games or so), but he is still grinding and playing a solid 2way game out there so. Needs 1 more year in the OHL i think.

  6. We love him here in Kitchener.
He got a goal and an assist on Friday, February 10th. at The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium
Check out his pass at the 44 second mark of this video. That is NHL caliber stuff right there.😳👍🏒
His goal is at the 2:03 minute of the video.
Rangers went on to demolish the Hamilton Bulldogs 8 to 1
Matt Sop #91 and Carson "The Razor" Rehkopf #16 both got hattys 🏒🏒🏒👍
Carson Rehkopf was the MVP for team White at the recent Kubota Top Prospects game in Langley.
He's spoken for (NHL), but The Habs should have a serious look at Matthew Sop.
    The kid is amazing.
