Easy way to tell is only the first year run of adidas jerseys had the button on the bottom. These ones never had that button on it at any point

I’ve had great success on r/hockeyjerseys (one dude found me a Ducks Stadium Series on eBay a year after I made my ISO post!) The folks there are super knowledgeable, willing to share, and don’t belittle questions from people just getting into jerseys. I’ve got quite a few older ones that I wanted and was able to find gently used (nothing an OxiClean bath couldn’t solve) or brand new ones on eBay for a fraction of the price of buying a knockoff. Customizing is really the expensive part if you want it done right. My Hawks fan of a wife taught me to sew, and I’ve started doing my own and my friends jerseys (cheaper way to go and you learn a new skill). If you’re ever ISO of a sweater, I don’t think there isn’t anyone on here or r/hockeyjerseys that wouldn’t help you out.
That being said, if you like it, rock that shit! Sure it’s a fake, but you didn’t know any better. If anyone gives you shit, just “quack” them until they go away.
