  1. Funny how were 2nd in the division and Johnny G could’ve been a part of that if he wanted. Now he’s on a team that’s in last place. Good riddance. LGD!

  2. riccarjo

This team could be outshot 45-10 and somehow pull out a win.

I hate it, but also love it. I have no idea what to expect come playoffs.

  3. DavidPuddy666

Glad we finally got some depth scoring tonight. I want Jack back though.

  4. #5 of 6 points without Hughes.

    #Bring me Timo

  5. TheRobberBar0n

It’s always gotta be a sweat. Jesus this team just loves to cut it close

  6. VanDerZappa

Honestly pretty bad game from Devils’ side against a bottom feeder team but Gravy nailed that, almost like it was to embarrass ’em. Gotta love it

  7. sapphires_and_snark

You could watch only the first and last 10 seconds of each period and miss nothing

  8. Ugh I can’t believe we won again and STILL haven’t fired Lindy?! Fitz has no idea what he’s doing.

  9. Well, we wanted a regulation win. And that was certainly a regulation win.

  10. brendans98

You’re welcome Blue Jackets bros. Almost got an extra point there, close one! Go get Connor

  11. standardbluejay

This will get lost in the madness, but the perfect call from Bill. I love him so much. I love this team so much. I refuse to be negative. The sky’s the limit for us.

  12. baconpoutine89

I swear this team is just playing down to other teams levels to preserve energy for the playoffs.

  13. TallerWindow

Can never be easy against Columbus (except for that one time) but VV really got us there, another game we would have been caved in last year. And really this result was good for us both, we keep ahead of the Rags and the Blue Jackets Fail Hard for Bedard.

  14. Fake-Death

Talk about a satisfying ending, get fucked Columbus

  15. cabeener

Michael McLeod with the late game heroics, who didn’t see that one coming?

  16. MountainBaker8217

Why isn’t Gravy wearing the Giant Hat Hat?

  17. This team is either

    a) way better than they appear because they do just enough to win and no more out of laziness/energy conservation

    Or

    2) way worse than appear because they’re truly getting their ass kicked and just lucking into Ws

  18. GodWasCreated

To the old jackets fan behind the devils sin bin cartoonishly giving the bad finger wave over and over to the players that got a penalty that last goal is for you

  19. xxfatpigxx

Lmao the McLeod “hold onto the puck forever looking for a pass” play worked.

Jeez what a game. Columbus blocking a million shots, Bratt and Marino running the Edmonton Play to perfection again, but most importantly a regulation win, even if it took 59:59 to secure it.

  20. junkyardpig

Feel bad for Merzlikins but happy for the regulation win

  21. weaver787

Really gotta love that patience by McLeod.

  22. JRZshore37

Erika can be my valentine 🥰 she is so cute!

  23. As they say, good teams find ways to win over and over for more than a month despite playing objectively pretty poor hockey. But that’s another two points without Jack. That’s what I’m gonna focus on here.

  24. Perpetual_Manchild

And now all those poor fans that just got gutpunched with 1.4s left are gonna leave the arena and remember they’re in Ohio. Brutal.

  25. chewboy105

Another relieving and kind of crazy fact: we are twice as far away in points from falling out of the playoff race entirely as we are from catching the Bruins

  26. Icy-Arm-6044

How poetic is it that we gave up our trademark last minute goal in the first only to score the GAME WINNING GOAL in the LAST SECOND OF THE GAME? I’ll see your fuck up and raise you one

  27. Lookin4Rockets

Take that Johnny. How’s it feel to waste a whole year of your prime fucker?! 😂😂😂😂😂

  28. LaHondaSkyline

The Devils: The team that robs two points even when they forget they are good.

  29. KamartyMcFlyweight

They really don’t need to make it this exciting every time though

  30. hobbygod

Definitely an ugly game, but I’ll take any points by any means without Jack Hughes. Vitek played well, and a couple guys that haven’t been producing recently stepped up too.

  31. I don’t know how to feel. Happy they won, or bothered by the way they played against a bad team.

  32. MountainBaker8217

Okay. Here’s some straight facts for ya:

In February, we are 3-0-1, with seven out of eight points.

In the Jackless era, we are 2-0-1, with five out of six points.

We are three points behind Carolina and third in the league overall and five points ahead of the Rags.

And here are some optimistic opinions from yours truly:

Yes, Nico is in a slump and so is Mercer, amongst others, but you know what that means? That those players will eventually NOT be in a slump and that’ll happen sooner rather than later and it’ll happen when we really need it when we’re facing the toughest part of our schedule next month.

Guys, honestly, I’m truly just enjoying the ride. We have some kick ass goaltending, we have amazing talent on this team, we are always in these games, and we’re a fucking heart attack to watch, and other teams absolutely hate playing against us.

    See ya’ll on Thursday night.

  33. osmumten_faang

anyone got the replay of the last goal?

  34. Don’t mean to be dramatic but this might be the worst 11-1-2 stretch in Devils history

  35. DevilJacket2000

Switched over to the Stars-Bruins game and they flashed a stat of goalies with the best 3rd period save % and Vitek was third at .937. Having clutch goaltending is absolutely huge.

  36. Franzblau

We need to go 9-6 in our remaining 15 away games to set our franchise record for most road wins in a season.

  37. Traditional_Shine882

To everyone saying it shouldn’t have been that close remember last year when we were ass and we could still occasionally beat a top team by a couple goals. The jackets actually beat Toronto and Carolina this season. We walked with 2 points and take it one game at a time.
