Excellent job not getting a point tonight boys!

  2. Tribe740

That might’ve been the best tank game we’ve had all season. The team played with life the entire night!

  3. I don’t care that we’re tanking, don’t lose like *that*

  4. ftsteele

How hard is it to actually stay between the pipes Elvis?

  5. baconboyloiter

NJ trying their hardest to get us Bedard

  6. StoicBogle123

Phew-we almost let Chicago pass us to the worst record in the league.

  7. Ouch, that one hurts. Played very well and just got a bit too casual at the end. Probably a teachable moment for Marchenko to get that puck in deep rather than trying to force a pass through sticks.

  8. warlink05

Only caught the second half of the game, it was pretty good for each side keeping it scoreless, except for the last few seconds. On any other normal year, that’s a heart breaker. For this year, THE TANK LIVES!!!

  9. sniknej84

That was a brutal way to lose. I know…tank and all, but that one seems like they deserved the OT. On to the next…

  10. MrThird312

Not going to lie, losing in the last 1.4 seconds and not in the first minute of OT with the loser point is definitely preferred here for the tank. Good game, lots of fight, but yeah, winning (getting the loser point would hurt more than it helps)

Learning moment for Marchenko. Cannot make that play and then not try getting back on defense.

  12. sadgrass88

We kept it competitive against a good team with the Cleveland Monster’s defense. We didn’t lose ground on the Bedard race.

It’s okay to be mad they lost at the last second but there are positives here.

  13. Can we please get one of those bungee cords parents put on their kids so they don’t get too far head with Elvis on the pipes

  14. On the bright side, Elvis had a shot wide right of the net covered on the last play

  15. ReApEr01807

There’s plenty of other games to embrace the tank on. This game was one that should have been won. Laine was feeling it, Marchy whiffs, Vanecek makes some ridiculous saves.

Then, Elvis overplays the strong side and Boone can’t seal off his man. Fucking hell, man…

  16. Captain49

Great effort, awesome to see the team play with that much heart despite not having Gavy.

  17. Ralphcox69

I know Gudbranson gets shit on for his play/contract. But if he was the 5/6 defenseman on a playoff team, he would be a perfect fit. He played very well for the role he played tonight.

  18. I liked the time when the teenager almost ended Siegenthaler’s life along the boards with a body blow. Sillinger is gonna be a load in a couple years.

  19. titanup1993

Everyone wants to bag on the defense or talk about the Sillinger slump but Laine has been criminally average for how much we pay him. Won’t even break 30 goals this season

  20. Independent_Context4

surprised not much mention of Marchenko making a god awful turnover on an odd man rush. directly led to the losing goal.

Well, if you’re going to lose, this is the best possible way to lose for a team not making the playoffs. You stay competitive for majority of the game and exciting to watch, you don’t blow a lead and get frustrated with blowing the lead and you don’t get the unnecessary OT point when you aren’t making the playoffs.
