  1. First home shutout against the Blackhawks since Patrick Roy? I’ll take it

  2. the team is much better since they had that long break and since the Laval guys came

  3. Let’s be honest, I don’t think the Hawks even bothered trying this game

  4. You see when things are going really bad for your adversary when you see Savard scoring goal and Drouin giving gorgeous passes… thank, think tank, tanking for Bedard

  5. Great game Jake Allen! No illusions about this year, or even next year, but I’m excited for the future! There are glimmers of brilliance and definitely some chemistry we Habs fans haven’t really seen for a while!

  6. Been a habs fan my whole life and this game was my first one watching at the bell centre and not on the tv, worth it 100000%

  7. Montreal will someday win the cup, I'm just worried it won't be before I die. Last time I was 15, I'm now 46. No Roy's or Price's on the horizon. Boo hoo hoo.

  8. gotta be the worst play by play guy in the NHL, ruins every game with his fake broadcasting voice and awful factoids.

  9. Another pathetic offensive performance by the Blackhawks. Last in the NHL in goals scored.

  10. Awesome Patrick Kane moments that highlight how done he is:

This one contains foreshadowing for later. He's in a decent enough position, watching the back door. But he gets caught flat footed real bad when the puck pops out in front of the net, and the guy he should have been on gets a grade-a opportunity. Then despite having position to get to the boards for the rebounder faster, Kane leisurely strolls towards the puck and lets #56 get the puck back completely uncontested. Kane was no better than a spectator on the ice at this point. Doesn't seem this leads to anything further, but Kane comes out super lazy here.

You know a terrible spot to commit a turnover? At the blueline on a zone entry. Puck comes to Kane at the blueline, and he makes a blind between the legs pass straight to a Canadien. This leads to a counter-rush. Fortunately, Chicago's defense minimized the threat of this chance.

Remember the first play where Kane got caught watching? Yeah, that happens again, this time it sticks for a goal. Fails to intercept the pass to the guy he was covering, fails to block the shot from the guy he was supposed to be covering. Ouch.

Looks like the only offense he produced was a blocked shot during a 5v3 powerplay. Wow, what an offensive dynamo.

Whoever picks up Kane will certainly regret it.

  11. When the Habs win, I'm happy. When they lose, I'm happy. (Bedard)
