Kane isn't close to the same player and his hips are not good. This wouldn't move the needle for Leafs anyway, and they're looking screwed. Badly built "contender". They're a pretender.

bro the absolute disrespect people putting on Kane's name. Yeah he hasn't played great this year, THIS YEAR. It's pretty obvious he doesn't want to play in Chicago right now with all the players he liked being traded away (Debrincat, Dach, Hagel). It's hard to play your best hockey when the organization is basically BEGGING you to wave your NMC.
I also don't buy they whole injury thing, there's been reports of Kane struggling with this "injury" for the last several years, didn't stop him from putting up monster numbers before. I think his poor play is more due to the situation in Chicago.
I don't buy the whole narrative of Kane being washed up. Whatever team he gets traded to or signs with next year he will be back on 100 point pace WATCH.
