Patrick Kane on Kirby Dach’s recent surge: “I’m not surprised. What is he, 21? 22? It takes some time sometimes, and he was probably rushed into the league. And playing fourth-line minutes, getting sat out games, it’s probably not the best thing for your development.”

Kane on Dach, continued: “It’s not surprising that all of a sudden he’s starting to play a lot of minutes and playing in a good position and he’s producing. Happy for him.”

Still think this was a fine trade for the hawks, but glad Kirby has had a good year.
Kane has always been vocal about standing up for the skill players he’s played with (cat, strome, dach). I just hate how people are taking this comment as Kane burning down the organization before he gets traded
Kane keeping it real.
Kirby kubalik strome debrincat all would be 1st or 2nd in points on this team.
Kaner saying the truth, but let’s be honest here. Our new front office sold off everything for this upcoming draft. If we strike out on the pick then we’re gonna be really bad for a really long time.
Kaner’s burning it down and I respect the hell out of him for it. He’s giving his opinion and doesn’t care who hears what he says anymore.
Not to mention that broken wrist.
That said, not sure he would have seen this progression on the Hawks even if they hadn’t traded him. So good for him for taking advantage of this new opportunity. Hope he crushes it.
Well if Kane and Toews wouldn’t be greedy with their last contracts we wouldn’t have this situation. Bowman is a idiot for miss managing contracts and screwing this team long term down the road.
