Just in : Bellows called back up for the road trip. MacKewen put on IR after having surgery & will be out probably for the remainder of the year, his contract expires at season's end, so his Flyers' days are likely over. Sam Errson added to take that spot for the road trip. Who will they showcase for trade potential? Everybody age 30+ and/or with a big salary — JVR, Hayes, Risto, Sanhiem, Provy, DeAngelo, Deslauriers, or Braun. Wouldn't surprise me if Chuck Fletcher was to throw Couts, Ellis, or Atkinson into a trade just for salary cap relief.
If I was Torts, I'd suggest to Fletcher to keep these players 'untouchable' at the trade deadline: TK, Tippett, Laughton, Cates, Frost, York, Hart, & Errson. The rest are EXPENDABLE.
