Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal and recorded an assist, Alexandar Georgiev made 41 saves on the night, and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2.

    Georgie is King tonight. Huge 40 save game. Manimal back was much needed and noticeable. A huge 2 points tonight. Great game.

    Avs fan here: Bowen, you're a skill player, stop whatever you've been doing the last few games, you have nothing to prove lol. Also, the Avs miss Landy, 43 shots and the game is literally down to the last shot … the goalies can't play like that every night…

    As a Vegas fan i hate to see fleury like this but man… I gotta say maybe letting him go was the right move. Still have love for him though.

    Nhl tried to give us a "scheduled loss" in the biggest game of the season so far-for both teams. We had to play a high event,shootout game in Denver-vs a fully healthy Tampa,while missing Landeskog,Helm,Makar,& half our defense. Then get on a plane,& travel,while our arch rivals sit,& wait.

    Granted,Giorgiev,& the hockey gods kept us in a game for 2 periods-we had no business being in. But gritty,gutty effort in the 3rd-Avs slightly outplayed them…how they had any energy left-Im not sure.

    But GIGANTIC 2 pts…Minnesota has to feel awful to not only not get 2 pts in a game where they had a huge scheduling,& health advantage…BUT THEY GET NOTHING-NOT EVEN 1 PT! Awesome job by the Avs to find a way to get 3 of 4 pts in a MURDEROUS back2back-as tough as it gets.

    And all the while,the worst injury luck in the nhl never ends…every time we start to get healthy-we lose 2 or 3 more guys. But Josh Manson coming back was HUGE! We badly missed the physicality he brings.

    I said the Avs deserved 2pts vs Tampa-but that was still by far the best shootout TIE of the season. Other than Giorgiev,we deserved to be getting burried after 2 periods tonight,but when ya are at such a scheduling disadvantage vs a good team-it often takes your goalie badly outplaying the other guy. I wouldve been ecstatic with 1pt tonight-all things considered. But what a monstrous 2 pts… & NADA for Minny. Oh,& WPG-objects in your mirror,are closer than they appear-especially factoring in games in hand.

    Стали очень много проигрывать ребята из Миннесоты. Кирюха как всегда молодец, Георгиеву респект хорошо отстоял. Флёри частенько берущееся шайбы пропускает.

    watching byram fight is so scary. almost had his career ended because of concussions, i really dont want that kid to get another one, for his career and his life out of hockey.

    that being said, colorado continues to keep the title of the state of hockey.
