Blackhawks fans have no grounds to be mad at either Kane or Toews. They gave them 3 Cups and amazing hockey for years.

If I was in the gm position I would.only take a first, top prospect and an nhl ready player like the horvat trade… I wouldn't even trade them because the value of keeping them on the team I believe is way higher then getting like bits and pieces….still scratching my head over the ADB trade, Def could of gotten alot more…

This Blackhawks fan would be more than happy to see 19 and 88 finish their careers in Chicago. They earned the right to do whatever they want. I think the media, and their arm chair GM readers/viewers want them traded more than anyone else. Got to have a narrative, I guess. Trading Kane isn't the only way to get draft picks. They also have a ton of cap space at a time when a whole bunch of contenders are up against the ceiling. I won't be surprised if they make another Petr Mrazek-type trade again this year.
Toronto have to trade some defense to move cap which could be a good thing, bring in edmunsson after possibly gotta make some moves for playoffs and maybe a tough grinder too
As a Hawks fan, I think they should do whatever they want.
As a blackhawks fan we want them to have success.
I think the majority of fans wants Kane to get traded to get another cup. And then return and finish his career with the Hawks.
In the last years Kane suffered under the Hawks. Elite player, First they trade Panarin, then they trade away the Cat.
The Hawks owe him to let him go to a contender. Most Hawks fans know that.
After watching the game in Toronto last night it is totally obvious that this team needs DEFENCE!! Jones is so overrated and whoever thought that Murphy is an NHL calibre defence man was mistaken. Watching Patrick Kane’s talent being wasted while Panarin and Debrincat excel with their new teams makes one wonder if anyone has a head for hockey in Chicago. These draft choices better work out or it will be a long while before there will be any success in a once proud organization.

Of Course we would be upset. But……..we would understand.
As a Hawks fan it comes down to 1 of 2: either trade them for as much as we could possibly get, or re-sign them to considerably less contracts (2 guys eating up $20mil). The worst would be letting these guys walk and not pick up any equity with them. I'm grateful for the hockey resurgence they brought back home. I just don't want it to be another 20 years again.
Regardless, Jones should be traded for a bag of peanuts and a half warm beer.
As a hawks fan, this whole process is like when youre dating a girl and youre kinda on the rocks and she keeps going on dates witn these hot guys but youre still living with her
