Oakland does things as in olden days, with lions and pagans

The pistons should still play in the Palace
Ghost_Ride_the_Trip
Coliseum is super underrated.
(The word, not that shitty ass stadium)
Stlpitwash
How is it that the two teams that play at a field house play a sport with no field.
Next you’ll tell me that you don’t need any water to play pool.

The Steelers (unfortunately) don’t play at Heinz Field anymore. They changed it to Acrisure Stadium although I’ve yet to meet another Pittsburgher that’s on board with it
Deliriousdrew
Sadly the Kings, Lakers, and Clippers don’t play at Staples Center anymore.

A few years ago there would have been a bunch more under ‘dome’

What the Orioles do technically play at “Oriole Park at Camden Yards”, everyone just calls it Camden yards.

Personally, I miss the Sportatorium.

Leafs play ~~at the air Canada center~~

I feel like center and centre should be one category

The Palladium was awesome.

Man I miss when the sharks were the only team in North America to play in a “pavilion”

Fieldhouse is best.

I appreciate the differentiation between “Center” and “Centre”.

When the Chicago Bears move to AH they should come up with something completely original like.. dunno… Chicagoland Bears Den at PornHub Hot Zone

Arena names peaked and ended with the Cow Palace.

It will always be auditorium. Or in The Buff we call it “The AUD”.

Giants/Jets still play at Giants Stadium, so that checks out.

Can we all agree Centre/Center is the worst???

Stadium – 7/10 (There’s a reason it’s standard… but it’s so standard.)
Center – 4/10 (Meh.)
Arena – 8/10 (More exciting than stadium, still a little generic.)
Field – 5/10 (Meh.)
Park – 6/10 (Meh.)
Fieldhouse – 3/10 (I used to go to the most rootin’ tootin’ fieldhouse, junior!)
Centre – 5/10 (Center, but with a foreign spelling that makes it slightly sexier.)
Forum – 6/10 (Kinda cool, kinda weird.)
Dome – 5/10 (Meh.)
Garden – 7/10 (Pretty unique word, but an odd choice for a sports place.)
Coliseum – 10/10 (HELL YEAH, we’re going to the coliseum.)
Place – 1/10 (I thought coliseum and field were generic. Holy cow.)
Edit: missed Centre and Forum

1. I’m surprised Toronto plays in a Centre, given that they’re not in Quebec
2. Also surprised baseball loves Park so much when other sports don’t
3. I assume fieldhouse is a legacy term? Makes me think of 50s basketball arenas. Given the (what seems to me as) “legacy” nomenclature of Park for baseball, I’m surprised Fieldhouse isn’t more popular

I wish we were still in the Colocium category…

San Jose started out skating in the Cow Palace before their new arena was built
