Fuck this shit. Got banned from r/hockey for saying it was the refs that fucked us. Fuck that sub.

  2. jaypeedee1025

did they get atleast a point in every game of the road trip ? also 3 out of possible 4 points after being down in both games with less then 10 minutes i’ll take it

  3. NYRpuckhead

Gotta play a full 60, unfortunately we were sleeping in the first minute.

Halak played a hell of a game and Laffy got a PPG!

It was a winnable game which sucks, but glad we fought back to get a point at least

  4. obvioussponge06

I FIRMLY believe we win that game if the game was officiated correctly.

A million missed holes hooks and slashes. Missed Mika trip at the end. Toffoli basically fighting Panarin in the corner during OT with no just cause. Lucic committing obvious and dirty interference on Chytil.

  5. that was also a poorly officiated game. they called off a ton of icings, swallowed their whistles a lot, but would make a call outta nowhere just because.

fox definitely took a high stick there, but what about breadman having his stick held for at least 10 seconds as well? meh. is what it is

  6. Caroline0330

Overall I’m happy with the road trip. We still look very good in our division.

I only wish this game was early so that I could forget in some time and sleep peacefully. I didn’t expect for getting a point since we didn’t play with that intensity so there some comfort in that.

Also, Wish Vali was there to console tonight, works like Lullaby for me everytime we have a loss.

I said it in the game day thread: A linesman 100% should give slightly more leeway to a team down a man in OT before tossing him from the dot. That being said, it was such a bullshit light toss to begin with. Now, we have Trouba taking a FO almost guaranteeing possession for the flames a man up. I’m fine with the penalty, high sticks are difficult to not call. What I’m not fine with is a fucking fragile ego linesman trying to flex the tiny amount of power they have in an unbelievably crucial moment of a game. That’s what got me the most. They were tired, good effort, screw that linesman and let’s pass the Devils.

  9. lukelliot

Every team in the league would be happy to get 7 out of 8 points on a roadtrip across the continent. Rangers have nothing to be ashamed of tonight. They were clearly physically and mentally fatigued from the puck drop.

  10. blu3shirt

The early deficit was ridiculous but….how many posts did we hit? 4? Missed about 4 wide open nets also, just didn’t have the luck tonight.

  11. ATWiggin

We played a decent back to back road game for 59 minutes of regulation. Halak stood on his head and we clawed back to earn a point. First career power play goal for Laffy. These West Coast OT games are absolutely ruining my sleeping schedule.

Gary Bettman should present his spineless self behind a podium and answer the myriad of questions concerning his officials and their total lack of competence and the way that they continue to effect the outcomes of games such as these. Zibby, Fox, etc. were held and interfered with all game and they choose to blow their shit-whistles in OT when the Rangers finally gained momentum. It’s nauseating 😖🤮🤮

  13. DrFrocktopus

It was really inspiring how the NHL took you right back to 1995 with the clutch and grab rulebook tonight. Too bad if you bet on the game though.

  14. SheevTheGOAT

That game meant SO much to Calgary and their fans, poor fuckers got hit by the Trouba train. They needed that W more than us. We’ll take the point after a long night last night vs the Oilers. See y’all Monday!

  15. jaypeedee1025

3 out of 4 point in 2 games that you basically should have got 0 is not only awesome it’s things championship teams do .They always find away

  16. Stig12Cz

2 games in 25 hours in Alberta and 3 points from 4? I think its really not bad.

  17. EduardoTaquitoHands

    5 out of 6 points. I don’t care.

  18. Flames fans obsession with Fox is quite sad. It was funny the first year but at this point – just get over it. He never even wore a flames jersey

  19. LilMissLinNim

15 out of a possible 16 points, and a 2-0-1 Western Canada trip. Not too shabby.

  20. on a back-to-back in the middle of a grueling west-coast road trip and Gallant plays 2 of his forwards under 6 min TOI, forcing everyone else to pick up the ice time

is this really a better option than just playing Kravtsov and Brodzinski? coach seems to believe so. kind of incredible how NYR has gone through literally a dozen 4th liners over just the last 2 years alone and they can’t seem to figure out *2* that they think are capable of sticking

funny enough the answer is right in front of them with Goodrow and Vesey on 4th, and the rest of the lineup fills itself out

  21. mur_raza17

If kadri got kicked out shouldn’t it have been a penalty?

  22. BabaYaga006

Bad calls/reffing aside, we need to play more physical defense if we want a decent shot at playoff hockey. These little stick checks instead of putting bodies on players won’t get far. It always seems like we let opposing players do whatever they want in front of our net

  23. Grouchy-Power-806

8-0-2 in our last 10. I’ll take that all day. Going 8-2 every 10 is championship winning.

  24. Square-Mycologist764

Vova, who has been in a Rangers uniform for a week, said that they need to play a better 1st period. Isn’t that Gallant’s job? Why are we constantly sleepwalking through the first 15-20 minutes? Yes, comebacks are cool, but what about controlling a game from start to finish. Great teams do this frequently. What’s our excuse?

  25. ElevenDegenerates

15 points out of 16. A good comeback to get a point after a bad first minute on a back to back. there were some questionable refereeing and icing calls to complain about, but overall not bad.

On the bright side, the Devils have the 2nd half of a b2b tomorrow against the Jets. Hopefully we get a nice Jets win that tires them out for their own b2b against the Rangers on Monday.

  26. Envelopen

He aint no vally but i actually really enjoy rupper on the post game

  27. 15 outta 16 don’t care alcohol bill getting run up until next game then I’ll over exaggerate the next outcome till next time

  28. ElevenDegenerates

We lost the 1st periods 6-1 aggregate over the b2b… still came away with 3 of 4 points.

  29. TripleTreat45

It really blows my mind that east coast teams can be scheduled back to back on west coast road trips. We are playing with a handicap due to the time difference. And west coast teams will never have that problem.

It’s kind of amazing that west coast teams still suck in general while we’re the ones with the handicap.

  30. The Tarasenko interview was interesting. Didn’t think about the fact that he got traded, got MAYBE two days in the city – one of which was a game day, and then has been on the road since. People here are already talking about him not bringing anything to the table meanwhile homie is just trying to make sure his wife and kids are adjusting to the move from his west coast road-trip.

  31. Ketachloride

our backup goalie started cold, then stood on his head on for the rest of the game; we were tired but closed the gap and got a point, can’t win em all, im not mad. Happy to see a better team at 5v5 than last year that can hold the line through three periods. Also Laffy has beyond redeemed himself. And no one got seriously injured, which was my big fear of this game.

  32. Oh Mr gallant.

Stop putting scrubs in if you not even gonna give them 10 minutes.

Especially on a back to back where the last game went to shootout

  33. GMProdigy-ChrisDrury

Fucked by the refs. They were on a mission. Lol.

  34. legend1124

Hey the power play worked last night so let’s obviously tweak it so it’s dogshit tonight. GG just can’t get a handle on the whole being a coach thing.

  35. Goodie dunno how to play with lech because lech sucks

  36. MarsHotelSouth

Some people on r/ hockey are straight-up brain dead. I’m not even upset with the boys after this game. Awful officiating ultimately cost us but mostly good effort tonight, even on a B2B with last night’s insane comeback and shootout win for crying out loud. Jaro continues to be awesome. Team managed to grab at least one point which is all I asked for so we’ll take this one, fly home and rest then get back to work Monday

  37. I say kravt still the answer. Put him out there on 4th line and let him play.

You’d at least give him 9 mins

  38. Swindler30

Stole a point. Bread needs to stay w vlad. That is all 🤘🏼

  39. What the heck was going on with Panarin on that play where Fox got called for high sticking? I’ve never seen anything like it. Panarin and the Flames player were tangled like two snakes. And nothing was called? wtf?

  40. Bornlastnight

Hate that we aren’t playing 60 minutes, but to take three points after being down by 2+ goals is still pretty great.

These back to back games suck, hope we avoid injuries down the stretch

  41. Fox can be just the biggest defensive liability on the ice. truly incredible some of his decisions

  42. Mitcheeeey

Should’ve won but a point from that is alright. Too many open misses simple as that, Mika Chytil and Vesey, especially Vesey should burry them chances

  43. supposablyhim

had to stop watching after 2nd… what happened in ot? legit penalty?

highlights didn’t really cover it well
