Personally I’ve tried and can’t. Avs till I die

  2. Pleasant_Heat_1259

No, the police are probably already in your house I would just lay down face first on the ground with my hands behind my head fingers laced

  3. strompooper

100% yes – Panthers and Predators support here. Used to be a STH for the Panthers. Moved to ATL in 2006, supported Panthers and Thrashers then. Will always support my hometown team and my home team. Since the Thrashers left, I threw my support behind Panthers and Predators since they are the closest NHL team to me now and I’m in Nashville a lot since I have family there. It works well to have one in the east and one in the west.

People like what they like, don’t let anyone tell you how to be a fan.

  4. Adamgrim

Sure it is, as long as one of the teams is not philly:)

  5. Melody412

I got a team in the west and east that I like. Habs because born in Montreal. Even if I only lived their a few years. And Vegas because I love that city

  6. GrayRoberts

    I’ve heard it described thusly:

    You need a husband.

But can have a have a boyfriend.

    And maybe a side piece.

But anymore than that and well, the 60’s are gone, free love is passed.

  7. Calgarybruin

Bruins fan from Nova Scotia, lived in Calgary for 20 years and support them as well. Bruins are in the east so I don’t really see a problem with it. When the play against each other I always go with the Bruins.

  8. ImxJayxD

Speaking for alot of people here, cheer for whoever you want, it doesn’t hurt anymore… anyone saying that its not allowed is a weird freak and shouldn’t have an opinion haha.

  9. FakeTreverMoore12

I’ve loved the Kings my entire life, but I support any team not named the Ducks also.

  10. rambored89

I support Detroit, St Louis, Minnesota, Pittsburgh… Fuck it. There’s no rules about what people can and can’t like

  11. popculturetommy

Yes. My main team is an always will be Anaheim. But I love the Coyotes too because of my grandparents moving there in 1996 and it being like a second home to me. I also support Calgary because their my wife’s favorite.

  12. You can be a fan any way you want to! We’re all here because we like the sport.

  13. Mangoes95

As long as the teams aren’t rivals, sure. I wouldn’t be caught dead supporting the Leafs or the Bruins lol

  14. zhaozhenghaozhonguo

Hockey’s tough to do this with cause most teams worth a shit as another team to support are in the eastern conference. I suppose it would be easier to do this if your primary team is in the western conference. Blackhawks used to be mine because of the Sabres being shit and Kane being a buffalo kid, but uh, that kinda ended lol.

  15. AdamJr87

Avs until I die, but have a friend in the League so I’ll always root for his team too

  16. gohomebrentyourdrunk

Don’t let anybody tell you what you should or shouldn’t enjoy.

    …unless it’s against the law…

  17. Common-Rock

Yep, it’s fine. The Canucks are “my team”, but I’m taking a break from buying merch and stuff from them now because of the Aquilinis. I don’t feel good spending money on the team right now, but I’ve been enjoying watching the Kraken!

  18. Given the blackout rules, it’s practically encouraged. Make sure to pick a team in a different time zone though so 70% of the games for both teams don’t completely overlap

  19. WintersTrial

I’m a red wings fan till the end but im so close to anaheim that I support the ducks because I can go see their games and I got invested in seeing them attempt to pull themselves out of the current pit they are in. So I think you can have multiple teams to support.

  20. jdwazzu61

I’m a lifelong pens fan and kraken season ticket holder. I support the kraken 80 games a year and Pittsburgh 82

  21. Gosh2Bosh

I have an East and West team and I appreciate other teams.

    Do you.

  22. emeraldraf

Yes it is. Hell I support 5 because various people I know support a different team and I like to talk to them about it and became a fan through them.

As long as it’s not like you’re most bitter rival (don’t support the pens as a flyers fan, don’t root for the kings as a sharks fan) I don’t see the issue.

If anything its probably the best thing to do. It opens up eyes to other teams and the way they play and you find more enjoyment in the game. Or at least I did.

  23. UrsusAlakar

Yeah man, have an east coast and a west coast team. I’m Canadian but I love the Bruins as my primary , then have family out west so when the B’s aren’t on the Jets are my Canadian / West coast team.

  24. KYHmetronome

Leafs fan here, maybe it’s not a popular way to go about it but I cheer the team on that beat me. May the best team win

  25. Bladerunner9mm

Life is short man, cheer for whoever you want.

  26. soup_and_sandwich_

All of sports are nothing more than entertainment. Do what ever you want to get the most entertainment out of it.

  27. Yes! I’m a devils fan but then I also have a team I’m rooting for this year. In years past it’s been San Jose, St. Louis, Dallas, but this year it’s Ottawa. This way I have another team to watch when the devs aren’t playing, and I get to learn about a different franchise every year. Become a more rounded hockey fan lol

  28. You have your team. Your love.

You can have other teams that you like, but you have to be able to turn on them when it comes to the best interests of your love.

And division rivals always get the worst wishes.

  29. I cheer for about a quarter of the league. Don’t see anything wrong with it. They all sell the same product, so if another team has branding you enjoy, go for it. Just because I bought some Adidas shoes doesn’t mean I can never wear Nike.

  30. Tricky-Mick

Hell yeah, at the end of the day we are all hockey fans!

  31. Triceraflops8

Its always ok to be a fan of the game. Whether that consists of having no favorites, one, or multiple. This goes for all sports.

  32. oknumber9042

Yes, all is okay in the love for the game

  33. Do whatever makes you happy. There is no right or wrong answer to this.

  34. fluffHead_0919

I’m a Avs fan, but I do tend to follow the Islanders. Family is originally from NY, so I’ll watch Islanders as the early contest and then soak in the Avs. However I would not consider myself a supporter. Just an observer if you will.

  35. IamLiterallyAHuman

It doesn’t matter, people may look down on you, but you absolutely can enjoy hockey the way you want to.

I personally support the Avs and Leafs both. It helps they’re in different conferences so they won’t ever meet in the playoffs unless it’s the SCF.

  36. RSlashLazy

Yeah, cheer for who you want. My 2 favourite teams are Montreal and Arizona.

  37. Advanced-Detail-8803

That’s the beauty of being a foreign nhl fan: you can😜

  38. supermav27

I’m a Penguins fan for life but I live in Los Angeles so I’ll root for the Kings and celebrate goals when I go to games but I won’t ever sport their merch or identify as a fan outside of the arena.

  39. ripcity7077

My favorite team is the devils

My second favorite team is whoever is facing the Rangers

  40. Grant_Mastodon

I hope so, or I’ve been doing it wrong for 50 years 🙁

  41. Yea. East and west teams. Gotta have 2. Plus I need a reason to watch playoffs after the first round

  42. spraycheesedefender

My favorite team will always be the Bruins, but I also like the Avs and Ducks. I also follow the Devils somewhat bc I have a friend who likes them and I like to discuss their games with her 🙂
