Gambling is illegal in California apparently I just looked it up, so maybe they can’t advertise a casino while there? That would be my guess

Only paid for home games would be my assumption.

Two reasons: 1) gambling ads are illegal in certain states, and 2) the sponsorship with Gila River is for home games only anyways

Same thing happened when they wore the home jerseys in Philly and I confirmed with team execs

Pretty soon it’ll just be digital ads replacing the actual players (sarcasm)

Craig Morgan said on the PHNX postgame that because the black kachinas are the usual home jerseys, they have a sponsor (Gila River Casinos) who only paid for the ad to be shown during the home games. They didn’t pay for the advertising during this away game, so their patch got covered up.
