Was is it with Travis Konecny and getting mad at empty netters? During last nights Vancouver Canucks vs Philadelphia Flyers game, Elias Pettersson on a 5 point night, scored a pair of empty net goals. The second of which, Konecny took exception to and did a drive by blind side hit on Pettersson in a dirty cheap shot that is just completely unnecessary. Kuzmenko also had one of the funnier exchanges I’ve seen in a while on the bench eating a banana and having a Pepsi in the middle of a game. Travis is the prime example of taking a game too seriously. yes you lost but you had more than enough time to make things right earlier. nothing you can do about it at the end and you end up looking like a big baby.
At least a $5000 fine. The league need to at least let him know he's on their radar.

It’s because empty net goals are cheap and should be embarrassing for the scorer. Scoring from your own zone, and on a breakaway with no one within 50 feet of you. They shouldn’t assign the goal to your stats, make them unofficial like a shootout goal.
