  1. Oilers could go deep they have 4 point a game players and that’s because of mcdavid he’s the most impressive player to almost ever play the game of hockey

  2. The future players will be even more skilled. Kids are being born to play sports now. It's not just for fun anymore. Plus the stick technology has improved greatly.

  3. The New York Rangers have won a single Stanley Cup since Hitler killed himself. One. And they had to take half of Edmonton's roster to get it done. Loser franchise in a loser building with a loser fanbase. Can't wait to watch them fuck up again!

  4. I'm telling ya', I'm an old school guy who played in the old school days and I'm getting a little worried someone, somewhere is going to start taking the stars out just so they can compete again. It all goes in cycles, but I sure hope teams don't start going dirty.

  5. Talk to me when he gets 100 points over the next guy… And actually leads the NHL in even strength points

  6. They been making changes to goalie equipment the past 15 years this was the tail end of the dead puck era. It's not just mcdavid going crazy its been the entire league. I do find there is a lot less structure in today's game than year's prior

  7. as a oilers fan and that lives in Canada Edmonton we are very lucky to have such a beast of a player that is Connor McDavid without him we would be significantly weaker of a team and what is truly Shocking to me is he isn't worth the most in the league…

  8. Honestly the league is growing at an exceptional rate.
People say Bedard is going to be an exceptional player.
Imagine McDavid competing every night with Bedard for Points. Making everyone better competing to keep up
I think the league will be something different in 5 years maybe players having 250 300 points tbh.

  9. mcdavid has elevated the whole league, people below him in points still have 70+ points right now

  10. I got to go to an Oilers game a couple months ago. It's absolutely wild to see in person. He does shit that you've never seen before and it doesn't even look like he's trying.

  11. My take is that the referee has a lower bar in penalty which led to advantage for fast smaller players and at the same Time it seems like defense is getting worse every year . The bigger physical style is almost gone. What do you think about that ?

  12. And then ….playoffs happen….😱 Connor Draisatl and the Seven Dwarfs are not enough.
Where will he be traded to?
He needs to get away from that hicktown burg and join a real team

  13. Been watching hockey since Gretzky was on the Rangers.. man those were the days. Bure was a beast. Lindros was good… times were so different, but yes ever since the late 90s, seeing McDavid today is one of the craziest things i can remember in all that time. Besides Ovechkins absolute rampage scoring 65 goals in 08, this McDavid is the most dominant player i remember watching.

  14. Just like ESPN says it’s the “new golden era” .. not just marketing bs. and with Connor bedard coming in with mcdavid hitting his peak it’ll be interesting. I just hope bedard lives up to the hype and gets to 100pts his rookie season.

  15. It’s insane that he could feasibly reach 150 points this season. Hands down the greatest of all time.

  16. All true but can we please get this guy a Cup? As in most of the other North American based major sports leagues, there will always be an asterisk on his accomplishments as long as he does not win a championship (See Dan Marino, Barry Sanders, Jim Kelly and others. Yes, I know those are all football. Those are the ones that came to mind most readily)

  17. Well back in 13-14 and 14-15 the goalies were a lot better than they were now there is still goalies who are unreal but there's less of the goalies who are unreall now then they were like 8 years ago if you know what I mean.

  18. Look at the Bruins from their Cup-winning season of 2010-2011. Lucic & Krejci lead the team with 62pts each!

  19. Jamie Benn won the Art Ross on the last game of the season with 2 EN points(one of them a secondary assist).

  20. We are definitely not back to the ridiculous scoring of the 80s but maybe we are entering a similar scoring era to the mid 90s where guys like Jagr and Lemieux are leading the league with 140 – 160 pts, guys like Ron Francis and Sakic with 120 pts and 12 players had over 100 pts.

  21. Not surprised. The sport has changed. No defense. No ones playing the body. Its like watching the all star game at times because of the lack of physical effort to stop a player.
Its starting to look more like how roller hockey is played.

  22. im a die hard ranger fan.. and when that was shown i was happy for the guy.. hes top tier, hes amazing to watch. hes an amazing player and guy.. top class in the league. happy for him and the oilers fans.

  23. I know McDavid is an absolute stud nowadays, but
…those of us in Gen-X that grew up in the ‘80s, well…we had 99 problems but scoring 200 points wasn’t one.
