Interesting move. Durandeau has played well over two seasons with Bridgeport. Has 33 points in 48 games including a goal on Saturday.
Is listed as 5’11” and 182lbs on CapFriendly.
He isn’t waiver eligible which is why this move is intriguing. Lou has displayed extreme reluctance to expose players to waivers in general (see Ross Johnston never having been waived). This means if he plays well he may not get sent down (just like Parker Wotherspoon).
I wonder, due to the time of year, whether Lou is trying to include him in a trade.
The refusal to call up Iskhakov is certainly interesting
Edit: [Iskhakov buries another one haha can’t make this up](https://twitter.com/ahlislanders/status/1627406500896337921?s=46&t=G7TEWqtehkSJ3eyeNa8k_g)
I am happy for him to get the call up. 24 year old who was a 6th round pick. Not sure if he will be a full time NHLer but has solid AHL numbers.
Saw Bridgeport tonight against the Wilkes pens, 2-1 W.
Koiv and Isk were definitely fire out there.
Not sure why Terry isn’t an option either but yeah.
Side note Skarek looked really good as well.
Double sided note Salo looked ready for the call up as he gave away 2-3 odd man rushes and blew some major assignments.
Does anyone know what wrong with Barzal? Bruise? Meniscus? Ligament? Tendon? Knee? Ankle? What??????????????????
