  1. Dave I’m always up at this hour so I appreciate the early morning uploads. I had to laugh when I seen Carter as your thumbnail 😆. Haven’t listened yet but I’m sure it’ll be good as usual! Hope your getting a little time off soon. You deserve it!

  2. Sullivan has changed so much since the Cups. He's like a different person.
Accountability is dead. McGinn still out there despite being pointless in 22 games and with the PK struggling. Blueger 1 goal on the season. Carter centering the worst line in hockey analytically and not even getting demoted to the 4th, let alone scratched. DOC only getting a lineup spot again due to a Poehling injury, despite being like the best bottom 6'er for a good stretch. Heinen getting scratched when he had 4 points and a +3 in his last 3 games, finally becoming a useful player again.

I miss the Sully that was livid at Ian Cole in game 4 vs Columbus in 2017, when the Pens were pushing for a sweep. He was so hungry. Now he just accepts failure so easily. It makes me sad.
I wish I could talk to him in person for like 10 minutes and give him my thoughts.

  3. I would trade the entire bottom 6 just to have E-rod back. At least he brought some energy on a nightly basis. Let’s just hope hextall doesn’t trade away any important draft picks cause if he or anyone else thinks this team is gonna go on a miracle run with a rental player he’s in a dream world

  4. Are the players in WILKES BARRE….REALLY THAT BAD….that we can't call this up…that the players we have NOW who offer nothing…are preferred by the coach & organization

  5. When I was a kid I didn't bother to listen to the game on the radio when Bob Gibson was pitching against the Pirates because it seemed like a forgone conclusion the Cards would win. My emotional investment, as well as time, listening to a Buccos broadcast could be better spent on a higher percentage victory than an almost guaranteed loss. I would learn about the outcome from a quick glance from reading the headline in the next day's Post Gazette or from KDKA on my transistor radio. I'm a huge Pens fan, but I'll reserve my emotions and better utilize my time until I hear or read in passing that management has made moves to improve the team because I'm tired of this crapola. So for me I'm back in 60s with Gibson pitching against the Pens every game.

  6. They need to just blow it up! Keep Crosby, Malkin, & Sullivan. Everyone else is expendable. This is not a playoff team. To trade draft picks for a short-term solution is insanity!

  7. In response to the J1Q…. I wonder if this is Fenway sports giving the exist management structure enough rope to hang themselves and then they come in the offseason and replace mostly everyone with their own people?

  8. Is Carter's contract apply to 35+ , does he retire & what happens to his $ on next yrs cap situation for Pens

  9. I hear Penguins scouts have been in Chicago for the last few games. I don’t think they’d go for Kane but I could see a player like Domi filling that 3C position very well. What do you think the Penguins would have to give up to get Domi and what are your thoughts on how he would fit on this team?

  10. This is the result of trading your first round pick almost every year for 10 straight years. I don't blame Hextall at all yet. In hindsight I wish he didn't give Carter 2 years and signed a backup goalie in the offseason. Casey Desmith is an AHL goalie.

  11. The one thing I do blame Hextall for is losing both Tanev and McCann when we only had to lose one of them. And we decided to protect an aging Jeff Carter over both of them?? Not his best moment.

  12. Carter really is a mystery. Barring injury, I dont think players suddenly lose their skills/desire..It's more like an erosion…like watching Dumo over the last long while. Why they dont mix plyaers up w. his line escapes me. Try him as a winger. Do something…anything! is that line always paired w. the same D men? This is a team sport afterall. I think the Pens problems are deeper than the Carter line…This is the first season in a really long time where I have doubts that the Pens will make the playoffs (especially if Jarry cant regularly play),.

  13. It does seem as if the Pens will continue with their current scheme – no changes. Sullivans response to the question about a plan to improve the play of the 3rd line was an indication of a coach with no clue.

  14. The only way to free up Carter's $3M cap space is to trade him. They have to let him play in the hopes that he puts together back to back good games and a team gets interested.
