Great video! We need Desharnais back. Same with Holloway. I know 55 isn’t getting a lot of points, but he’s buzzing every night and is an amazing skater. Hopefully something is done soon, we can’t keep bleeding points. Scary how much Desharnais impacted the team, only has like 15 nhl games, but has made a huge impact.
If the Oilers are having no trouble scoring a lot of goals and are leaking goals defensively, why would they try to get Patrick Kane? He may add goals (which they don't need) and he is not a defensive forward. He likely will only add to the defensive challenges of the Oilers. At least Erik Karlsson has speed and finesse as a defenseman that helps to move the puck out of his zone. Karlsson would add offense, but also add defense. Kane will not add defense. … So, Holland will probably land Kane.
I think lavoie I’ll be able to get re signed to a nhl elc again cause he hadn’t played in the nhl, so he should be around 775k-950k and he could probably come on the roster
Desharnais pk in the line up 29/34 =85.3 %.. So EDM pk has allowed 5 power play goals on 34 chances. Desharnais in the line up 9-1-2 after the kings game allowing 4 goals on 5 power plays .
So far desharnais out of the line up pk 6/10 60% on the pk. Det went 2/2 on the pp and nyr 2/4. Col edm killed all 4 of the avs pp.
Boston #1 pk 86 % Sj #2 just under 84%.
EDM pk 26th overall just over 76%.
Desharnais 13 mins 59 seconds helps the right side with the minutes and pk.
Helps the d zone starts at 55% as ceci d zone starts is at 68% so give me ceci a bit of a break . And he helps the pk . Allows Barrie and bouchard to get more o zone time . Also allows to d zone start with kulak when faced with bigger fwds so Barrie doesn't have to face them .
We NEED…1st-a big, mean Defensive Defenseman and 2nd- a scoring winger. In that order! If we’re getting a D’man for the outlet pass, go after Chychrun and then Bjugstad for offense. And if somehow we got an upgrade in Goal, all the better! #TradeNurseNow
An .850 save percentage ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. Campbell didn't have a great game. If you can't win with 5 goals (and 2x 3 goal leads) we have a big big problem.
I haven't watched a ton of hockey this season but I follow the Oilers regularly. Seems they need to learn how to win low scoring games. I'm not sure if it would be considered the system, having the right personel, commitment or something else. Used to be that having a lead in games you would be able to lock things down and it would only lead to more scoring opportunities because the team that is behind is taking chances, so you get more turnovers. I'm excited to see who the Oilers will add at the deadline but not sure that gaining someone like Patrick Kane or Erik Karlsson will lower the GAA.
Forget Karlson, forget Patty Kane, we need real shut down defenceman. Just look at the last 2 games. Everyone seems to think that Karlson will be a savior, he will be a major long term mistake. Colton Parayko and Schenn from Vancouver is the type of players the Oilers need!
Honestly if the defense in front of Campbell was significantly better, the last 3 games would have probably been wins. The Oilers badly need some quality D-men.
There was not one team out there that would of gave Campbell 5×5 only Holland that screw up the redcwings with cap hell if Katz had a brain he fire Holland Bob and brad
Vinnie back is good news . Injury and flu bug hitting the team . Defensive defenceman is required who might teach #25 his position . Holloway and Kane out is not good. Philly next and this team needs the points

chycrun (sp) is the guy. get him and lafferty, and/or bujgstaad. that will tighten us up and toughen us up at the same time.
We need real D not pseudo D with offence! I'd rather have a D guy who never scores if he can just get the puck out of the zone for Pete's sake!!
