I want to complain about how everyone comes into the Garden and becomes a Vezina caliber goalie, but Hellebuyck is probably one of the most underrated or underappreciated goalies in the league. Dude was on fire tonight.

Bucky smothered everything. Jets let up a ton of shots but did a good job making sure the Rangers weren’t in place for second chances, and Hellybuyck pretty much had the whistle blown after every shot. Not pretty for the Jets by the numbers but did the job

That’s his bread and butter. Hellebuyck is one of those goalies whos gets better the more shots he faces. Seriously, I want to see a stat that shows him getting better the more the opposition shoots.

As a Wild fan it’s refreshing to see other teams getting goalied. In the last four games we faced Bobrovsky, Georgiev and Oettinger having one of their best games this season and then Saros having a solid one. I would like for a change to face a goalie on a night off and win in blowout fashion

I’m pretty sure it was 3-0 and the Jets only had 10 shots. Hellebuyck was a fucking wall again tonight. If he was on a defensive minded team he’d probably get 20 shutouts a year. He really is that good. The Jets with an average goalie wouldn’t be a playoff team right now, nevermind 3rd in the west.

We were at the game and yes he absolutely carried that team on his back. Very frustrating to watch as Blueshirt fans, no doubt. But when someone performs like that, you just tip your hat off.

For some reason (although by the shot total for the jets this may draw some questions) the jets truly play to the level of their opponent. Everyone on their team. If this happened against Columbus or Anaheim Helly would’ve let in 7 goals probably, and then wouldn’t get pulled for some reason. I love this team but they stress me the hell out man.
