  1. It took him long enough.  Price has way more losses than Plante.  I know Plante played on a superior team, but it's a lot easier to get wins today.  There are no ties and teams go to shootouts, which Plante never got to enjoy.  Plus goalie equipment is much larger and lighter than what Plante and his contemporaries wore.  Don't get me wrong, I am a Habs fan and I like Carey Price just fine.  But I will never put him in the same class as Plante, Dryden, Roy, Vachon and Worsley until he wins a Stanley Cup with Montreal.

  2. The NHL in the 21st century is much more competitive than the NHL in the 20th century. Wins aren't as easy to come by.
Even with a Montreal Candiens team that isn't as dominant as the ones in the past, Carey Price manages to post some stellar numbers.
Carey Price deserves all the recognition, well deserved!

  3. Great job, now all Carey needs is a team that can make it to the Playoffs, he's been carrying those mediocre players far too long already.

  4. Until Price wins a Cup with the Habs, I will not mention him in the same breath as Plante, Dryden, Vachon or Roy.  Today's goalies have it much easier than ever, with their oversized equipment and players not shooting enough.  Sorry, Carey, you may have the most wins in Habs history but you are far from their best goalie ever.
