Only the perennial doomers on this Reddit think it’s over. Until it’s a mathematical impossibility it’s not over. We are in the toughest division in the toughest conference. Outside of Columbus, Philly, and Montreal all other teams are good and still have a legitimate shot to make the playoffs if they get hot.

I’m absolutely capapable of being a “soft” doomer in that I can be realistic and see when shit it over. During the bad slump I was ready to be sellers because I just didn’t see the team giving any effort, but now I’m firmly back in the believer camp until they stop trying.

If the game against Winnipeg looks like the Boston game I’ll go back to soft dooming.

4 games until the TDL, immediately followed by 4 against the Wings, Sabres, Pens, and Caps.
If we can win 3/4 I don’t think we’ll sell anything, maybe even add a piece, and then 4 games after that we’ll know if Lou royally fucked up or not.
I’m hopeful always because it makes being a fan more fun, even if it’s blind Hopium.
