This is one of the rules I’d love the NHL to change. If the puck leaves the stick with time on the clock and doesn’t touch the ice, the goal should count, even if it crosses the line after time expires…sort of like hitting a buzzer-beater in basketball.
It’s the only rule I can say I’d like similar to basketball rules. In the rare instances where it happened, like this one, it would be super exciting to watch.
