I'm a big Brock McGinn fan because of a running joke with my family and I love his ability to make greay plays the once a month he he makes a great play. In my opinion, what he needs is a realization that he is that energy guy that you've been talking about. The only question is how do you get the message to the players that they can't all be the goal scoring superhero?
Why can’t the third and fourth line get going?
I've given up…PENS NEED A FIRE SALE…move any asset..player that you can…to get cheaper. Younger. Better…I'm sorry the BIG 4 get caught in this, BUT there's no way around this
McGinn is grit that we need. Perhaps on a li e with a high energy player.
Is it worth discussing trading anyone for this years playoff run? I would agree with Hex, that throwing away goodies for this year's run would be like a fart in the wind.

Does Archibald returning mean DOC sits?
I know you don't like to mix sports, but Bum Phillips would say you need to get better players or you need to get the players you've got to get better.
Put broc with malkin and rust on 3rd see what happens?
Hex wasting the savings the core created by taking discounts (kappy 2/$3.2 million aav, and to a much lesser extent adding salary in Petry trade/rutta signing) and the contracts he gave to carter and mcginn have created one of the biggest hurdles in the cores tenure imo. Invisible bottom 6 and still too much $ tied up on defense, have millions of cap space scratched every game bc you cant start 9 dmen. With an actual nhl goalie to backup jarry and a bottom 6 that can contribute to Sully's system this team would look much better. Good luck making that happen with this gm tho. I think he needs to go after this season, Hex cannot be trusted with the cap space we have in the offseason, with dumo and zuck being UFAs
