Has anyone been able to find a video of the injury? I haven’t seen it anywhere on twitter
Top 6:
Nino – Granlund – Duchene
Tomasino – Glass – Pars
I would assume he is going on LTIR.
I wonder how similar this is to the compartment syndrome incident back in 2017 before the Final. Hate to see any injury, but I remember that being particularly scary at the time.
Edit: just saw that he left the arena in a boot so likely nothing like 2017 lmao
So now they call up McCarron and…? What do y’all think?
I’d bet it’s almost 100% a torn Achilles.
I was watching on mute and saw him go down the tunnel. Looked to be in a TON of pain. I went back to watch the injury and there’s a point where he turns around and looks towards his heel like “what happened?” and then immediately skated towards the bench to come off without putting weight on the skate. Threw his gloves off to get off the ice. Needed support from 2 people to get off the ice and he was holding on to the benches for support as he was trying to walk.
Announcers called it a broken skate but it was a non-contact injury.
Screams sellers to me
I hate to say it, but this injury might just save us from being buyers at the deadline. Or… Poile could think we are just a 2c away from making a playoff push now.
Sucks. I saw him go down just couldn’t tell what fully happened.
He had an injury to his quad area during the Anaheim series in 2017, which was a pretty bad injury. Now this. Just unfortunate.
