The Edmonton Oilers left it until late, but they managed to find a way to overcome a deficit in the third period to take the two points versus the Philadelphia Flyers. The big boys showed up in the third period, with Connor McDavid grabbing a pair of goals (one on an empty net) and Leon Draisaitl. Along with that, Stuart Skinner made a big save denying the Flyers a go-ahead goal.

I agree with you Tyler But.. if Vinny D was playing in jack Campbell games it would of helped Campbell with the one goal where the player wedged the puck between the post and jacks goalie pads just sayin 🤷♂️
So I love the McDavid move at the blue line to get between the 2 defenders. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART is the IQ to know that even if he turns it over it doesn’t matter because of the delayed penalty. (He for sure knows about it because he’s the 6th man on)

Connor hit the 800 point mark and Leon hit the 700 point mark in their careers and Nuge (same play FGS) hits 70 points for the first time in his career in a season.
Third Period was the big one. Boys did well. Vegas lost in a shootout, LA lost in regulation so some ground was recovered. Take care all.
Philly is big on "will" small on skill and still showed the OIlers how to play defense…. Tortorella could teach the Oilers plenty. Philly has a completely different ethic. Philly gets more from less. The Oilers have 4 players with OVER 1 point a game yet the team coasts with zero urgency whenever they feel fat and happy…. Torts wouldn't allow the soft crap the Oilers serve up every other 10 game stretch… 2 MVPS on this team and they are a wild card. Something systemic is wrong with the locker room.
