Ottawa really was the better team tonight for stretches, the shot total tells you Canes were not playing their best game. A lot of near misses while the Canes are improbably finishing on their chances and the final result looks more lopsided than it should've been. If we can finish like that, look out. However, a bad team in the Ducks coming to town for the 2nd half of a back to back will test their ability to not play like absolute garbage against the bad teams. Go Canes.
The power play on both sides have be kinda disappointing this year for the canes but I probably have a little to high of expectations.

This was a game of goal tenders. The hurricanes had a good one, Ottawa had a lucky one. He could have conceded more. Ottawa also played in away that allowed the Hurricanes to read the play.
That had to be frustrating for Sens fans after all those close chances and not getting a goal.
Feel like the puck luck was on Carolina's side tonight. No fear in this dojo – still feel like the Canes played a good game. But man, Ottawa's cookin up a little squad up there. Nobody gets behind our defense like that, yet they did so regularly.

I remember the draft year people were saying Zadina was better then Svechnikov. I'm pretty sure Carolina made the right pick as so far Zadina as been a bust in Detroit.
Carolina if they want to beat Boston I think they have to make 1-2 moves before the deadline to improve there team
