Missed the game but what’s up with Shesty. Is Lindgren done for the season. Am sweating guys…
Cracker Island is very good if you are looking for the next thing to do today.
Afternoon game against the Caps.
I had something to do this afternoon and couldn’t watch, but I knew before I checked there would be a loss and a player who left with an injury.
Genuinely think we would fare better against Team Canada than we do against this team
Goddammit
Team looked just as uninterested as they did the past few games. Everyone reaching with sticks and gliding, no one going to the middle of the ice (except Chytil). Only time something happens is when 1 or 2 guys suddenly give it a shot, then it fails and they go back to moping around. The D zone play and just transitioning it forward has been abysmal.
I don’t think there’s any adjustments that are gonna fix this, something is in their heads that they need to snap out of.
Really reminds me of the early season slump when they hung Halak out to dry consistently
People are going to say “It’s just a slump, no big deal”. Maybe those people aren’t aware that the playoffs are six weeks away. “Just a slump” might be no big deal in November, December, even January, but not at this point in the season. Now is when you want to see a team’s identity begin to coalesce, and playing with strength, speed, and confidence through that identity. What exactly is the identity of this team? What is it that they do consistently well? What is it that gives the other team cause for concern? It seems that this team is a collection of highly skilled parts, which is great, but the parts don’t quite fit together.
And so they will add another highly skilled part in Kane. Great, truly. But the thing this team is missing most is leadership quality, ie – someone that unifies them, someone that raises their level of play above the competition and makes them greater than the sum of their parts, someone who plays bigger in the roughest moments of the hardest games. Leadership gives a team’s backbone a layer of reinforcement called confidence. Too often during games this team appears to become demoralized too easily which allows the game to get completely away from them. Adding Kane isn’t going to fix that problem. The Blackhawk that this Rangers team probably needs most is not Kane but Jonathan Toews, ie – Captain Serious, but that’s never going to happen. I just don’t see which of these Rangers is capable of stepping up and carrying this team but this team desperately needs a leadership hero right now.
All I wanted for my birthday was a Ranger win. Well, there’s always next year.
TJ Oshie had a great game, except for the Lindy hit. Get well Lindy!
This time last week, we felt unbeatable. Now we feel hopeless.
Hopefully next week is better
All those first round picks and man what do we really have to show for it?!
If we are expecting Kane to be our savior, we got another thing coming. He doesn’t play any defense which is what we need right now. In other words, he will fit right in.
Going to be a long 23 games until the end of the regular season. Igor is in for a rough ride. How many games is Ryan going to miss?
If we can get through the first round, then all bets are off.
LGR!!!!
Did I hear Gallant say that Lindgren is day to day?
I mean, Lindgren is truly Beric Dondarrion. Lindgren routinely gets killed on the ice. They bring him to the locker room. In comes Thoros to resurrect him. He’s good to go. Don’t be surprised to see Lindgren ignite his stick on fire mid-rush one of these days.
Gallant said Lindgren was day to day lmaooo this fucking guy.
Someone needs to throw another helmet ASAP.
Igor fucking wishes he could carry the jockstrap of the great Henrik Lundqvist. Hank started 70+ games a season mainly behind garbage tier defense. Igor looks worn down and his career high of games is effing 55 games started. Anyone who compared his “historic season” to Hank should honestly be embarrassed with themselves. Hank is a legend and Igor has so long to go before his name should even be mentioned in the same breath as such a great player.
If Troubs throws his skates in the locker room, they may have a very decent shot at winning 20 of the remaining 23 games! 😛
Nonetheless……4.17 GAA in the last 6…..yuck! 🤮
I didn’t even have to watch the game to know they’re gonna lose an afternoon Saturday game to a caps team that’s 0-6-0 their last 6 lol
This might have been, the WORST GAME OF THE SEASON. In spectacular fashion, the Rangers completely were awful and pathetic at the same time. Of course the Caps were gonna win today. Why? Because the Rangers know how to give teams a good win and a good 2 points on the night. This was pathetic.
This game wasnt on Igor today. It was on the guys in front of him. With the exceptions of: Goodrow, Trocheck, Laf, Kakko, Chytil and yes, Lindgren. Speaking of Lindgren, his injury, oh man this team defensively and salary cap wise, this teams is FUCKED w/ a capital F! Besides the obvious of Fox, Trouba, and Miller, imo, Lindgren is the most important dman on the team. W/o Lindgren, this team’s defense could possibly be a liability. Despite having Igor in net. But the defense as well as the guys in front of him (Igor) will leave him out to dry in the playoffs. People that are happy Kane is (looking likely) is gonna be on the team, where is he when he needs to make a defensive play in big spots? Mikkola has been awful defensively as well. Taking dumb penalties and turning the puck over. Volva, where is he? Can somebody find him? Since the apple to Trocheck against the Jets, where is he?
Today’s game is seriously concerning. Bad zone exits and entries. Bad power plays(yes that got one), bad off the rush, and bad defensively. But besides all of that, the lack of physicality (besides the Laf, Kakko, Chytil line as well as Goodrow) was seriously concerning. Should this team make the playoffs, I hope this doesnt happen.
Saw Turk’s post game comments, he was right again. Wasnt Igor’s fault, team in front of him played bad.
since the “game of the year” (2/6 v Flames) 6-3-1 13 pts, 39gf-37ga +2gd. Cant be going shot for shot, goal for goal like this. And these comebacks (against the Oilers and the 1 pt game @ the Flames) cant be consistent.
Srry if this was long. Im frustrated just like everyone else. Game sucked, Rangers sucked today and so did ESPN’s coverage sucked. Can’t let some teams back into the playoff hunt and cant lose ground. Onto the Kings. Game at 5PM.
I decided last night to go today and it was the first time in 20 years I left before the start of the third period. It was that bad.
I have a meet up with people later tonight, I had other stuff to do, I had an annoying HS-aged caps fan next to me, nothing about the time in that arena was enjoyable.
That was a very bad game
Anyone know if 55 is out for a while???
Igor looks awful lately

Nothing like a few bad games to bring a team and fanbase back into the stratosphere. Remember when we were all talking about getting the cup? I remember.
Usually the streaky player label is put on forwards but Miller is really proving to be extremely streaky. The team needs to get back to its identity of playing a hard forechecking physical game, the last 2 games we’ve been the softer team. Also I’m sure if the game was on MSG Vali would be screaming it from the rafters but our tradition defense has been beyond miserable lately. Defense is a 6 man game and right now no one is paying enough attention to detail.
This team needs to figure it out and fast. They are looking at a first round match up against the devils, who have had our number all year. If they can squeak through, they have Boston/TB/Canes to go through. Need to start playing some defense too, can’t be allowing 3-4 goals every game.
I gave them a pass with Winnipeg after coming off a relatively successful road trip and a rough schedule, but the effort the last 2 games has been brutal. Tomorrow is a tough game. Let’s hope they get it together.
It’s funny how you never hear anyone shit on Trouba anymore. It’s just full bore Miller hate train. And yet, when we were at our absolute best, nobody could come up with a single hockey related reason for Trouba being a large part of our success. Like yes he throws big open ice hits and motivates well, hooray. But his job is to play defense.
Get these trades over with. Major distraction ruining the mojo
Have a whole month of hockey to go. Calm down.
