  1. Rangers got fleeced in the trade. Drury should’ve traded him months ago when he was worth more. I know these moves are to bring Kane in. If they end up trading away young talent and win the championship it’s well worth it. But to be honest the way they have been playing lately, seeing how good NJ , Carolina and Boston are I just don’t see it. They’d be lucky to beat NJ. Defense is just horrible lately, Igor looks rattled, Halak just sucks and they where is the scoring. This is the wrong time to be slumping

  2. Welcome Vitali a fresh start awaits you. Aside from the Boudreau situation I do like the vision of this management team, I especially like seeing these hardened men behind the bench in Tochett, Foote and Gonchar. Skating back to the bench these days will be far removed from the Country Club days.

  3. Minnesota needs a scorer, but I don't like them being a buyer when the team is on the bubble. The Wild traded away a 2nd and 3rd last season at the deadline for no improvement.

  4. Good for Vancouver. No need to wait, they won the trade. High ceiling for Kravstov.

NYR mismanaged the situation from the very beginning. Wish him nothing but the best.

  5. This is a low risk, possible significant upside trade. NYR haven't developed any of the forwards they drafted in the first round since I don't know when…..Kreider. They seem to develop D men as good as team in the league, but forwards stagnant in the Rangers system. Hopefully the Canucks can help him out, and he can develop into a top 6 forward. The Rangers have bungled the development of Alexis, Kappo, Vitali, Lias and there's probably another few names I can't remember. They were all top 10 picks and the team never got them to the next level. If it was one or two players, maybe the team got unlucky with picks, but 4 + picks and two of them were the #1 & # 2 picks. Whatever they're doing, it isn't working when it comes to top 6 forwards.

  6. If I were a Rangers fan I'd be worried that this might be too much change. Upsetting the team chemistry is a real possibility.

  7. Wish Krav couldve turned into more here. Wishin him luck in Vancouver

  8. with the trend being as is it, i see the Kane trade costing the NYR a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a 4th from the next 3 years.

  9. Canucks now have Kratsov, Podkolzin and Mikeyev. If we end up getting a top 5 pick short of Bedard, they might be targeting Matvei Michkov

  10. He is gonna make a huge impact!
    Lol
    No serious…… hahaha
    Lol
Maybe the canucks can trade for a pop machine or something more useful.

  11. This was a pure salary dump by the Rangers in order to get Kane. It really should be seen as part of a two step trade for Kane but the second step won't occur until later in the week for cap accumulation reasons. If Vancouver thinks Kravtsov is a clear win for them, they are in for a real headache. I'd put even money on Kravtsov just returning to the KHL next season.
