  1. Buffalo. They've been very good.

Also, I think WSH is a surprise seller (thanks to their trade with BOS).

  2. Id Rather the Sabres go after Demko with Levi Coming and hes only 2-3 years out . Demko 3 years at 5 mill is Perfect.

  3. Sabres already have three goalies on their roster – there is no way in hell they trade meaningful assets for John Gibson, a goalie that's been underperforming on a big contract. I really don't like that option.

  4. Clearly these guys have no idea what's important to the Buffalo Sabres. They need a solid, strong stay-at-home defensemen more than anything. The goaltenders are more than adequate, but face way too many shots. They young Sabres just need to get stronger next year, and play better 2way.

  5. Personally as a buffalo native I’ll tell you exactly what we need. We need one more solid defenseman, maybe cut girgs and okoposo and give those two spots to one more elite sniper like mier or kane and give the other spot for a player like Wilson or someone who’s basically an enforcer. Sabres need an enforcer. The last thing out of the 3 is to get bigger and stronger during off season. I’d say also a goalie but the goalies are fine they are young and going thru growing pains. Give lukk this off season to develop and he’ll be just like tampas goalie and Levi will be fine as a back up for the next 3 years until he successfully develops into the player he’s supposed to be

  6. buffalo will absolutely not be pursuing a goaltender, in general, let alone at the deadline. i appreciate these takes, but this lacks nuance in that you have a unique situation in Buffalo; UPL is a VERY young partial starter (he is 23) and has been performing well (the loss to TOR is not on him), as much a of sure bet as possible in Devon Levi (currently playing in NCAA, so he is 2-3 years out from starting), Anderson who has a .920 save % and is always clutch, and other partial starter in Comrie (signed for this year and next). the 3-goalie tandem is working for now, as GMKA is not going to mortgage any assets top grab a rental goalie in the middle of what has been a steady and gradual development for UPL. Anderson is a high-end goalie who is only available once per week due to his age – but you will see him lay it all out here down the stretch, as he is 100% retiring at the end of the year. Buffalo will probably not make any significant moves at the deadline. this is the perfect situation/opportunity for Adams to evaluate scouting, drafting, and development performance.

  7. Buffalo needs a veteran D man as Bryson, Clague, and Lyubushkin are not helping much. Someone old enough to hold back and play D and not go all salt and viniger to make a play just to turn it over for a breakaway. Also, how do you have a trade deadline segment and not talk about Blackhawks and Rangers?

  8. Sabres don’t need a goalie they need defensive help and upgrades to the bottom six of the forward group if possible

  9. fun fact, Sam Cosentino is James Hetfield cousin, and you can tell he is, they look so alike!

  10. If the Sabres can get a solid blueliner for picks or prospects, fine. But if I'm Kevyn Adams, I don't mess with the chemistry of that locker room unless there's an incredibly attractive offer.
