This game was nearly impossible to watch. Not because of the Flyers performance, that was expected, but that audio delay was just a spoiler for every Devils goal.
This team is such a fucking embarrassment. I’ve never loved, hated, and been ambivalent about the same thing simultaneously as I do this team.

1. Fletcher needs to be fired tonight
2. Trade as many players over 25 as humanly possible.
3. Announce a full commitment to a true rebuild. No more of this “we are still competitive”. Being “competitive” is not going to have this team make the second round.

Hextall destroyed this franchise….much like he’s doing with the penguins now….Fletcher is no better but let’s not forget who drafted most of the supposed nucleus of this team…as well as the JVR contract. .it was hextall….and he stunk….you can’t compete and rebuild at the same time it’s one or the other…i get fletchers been here 4.5 years now but this team was set back 10 years by Hextall….we’re halfway there

I had a pretty painful night snowboarding but I can’t imagine being a Flyers fan attending that game.
Honestly I’d be happy if they don’t win another game this year. The true talent of this team is really shining through recently. They’re terrible, and they’re playing like it. We have what, 1 top 100 player in the league? Maybe? We need so desperately to gain 2-3 top 3 type picks and I just can’t see it happening. It’s depressing for a fanbase who has suffered through a decade of complete and utter mediocrity but it feels like ownership is trying desperately for *only* a playoff team. They don’t care if we are good enough to win anything but they want us in the hunt. It’s embarrassing.
There are probably high school aged people in this sub who have no recollection of the Flyers being legitimately good.
