@Vancouver Canucks

[Grady Sas] Was told by people close to the situation that NYR wanted Höglander for Kravtsov, but the Canucks didn’t bend. When the price dropped on Kravtsov, Vancouver offered lower value. Same thing reportedly happened with Carolina & Bear. Nice work by VAN’s mgmt team to wait them out.

    > Canucks thought price was high on Kravtsov a couple of days ago but get deal done now. I wonder if NY asked for Hoglander 1st and why Canucks balked earlier in week.

Management also got the Horvat deal done quick, prices are now dropping a bit for some other players on the market.

What do you know allvin is actually a pretty good gm compared to what some people here make it out to be.

Never heard this type of thing about Benning’s deals lol

  4. Ruilin96

Benning would’ve traded a 2nd round pick like they are free Halloween candy.

Good for Allvin, but giving up hog for Kravtsov would have been a fireable offence. This doesn’t really prove much to me but it is good to see we’re moving in the right direction for the first time in recent memory.

Downvoted because I’m not impressed that our GM passed on trading Hog for a winger with 5 career goals lol okay

  6. 2nd deal this year were they wanted hoglander.

Im liking what im seeing when it comes to Canucks Management and trades. It seems like they’re building a reputation that they’ll stick to their guns, but they won’t fuck around and try to weasel more if you meet the asking price (like some of the people in my fantasy league…)

Hög is wanted and loved CONFIRMED

    🥺🥲🐷

Shows how much they value Hogs and his future with us. NYR is betting high for Kane and wants to get rid of any unwanted contract asap from the looks of it so win win for all!!

hoglander is way better than lockwood was, i think, so good on us for getting better value ! Plus i’m always glad to see a player stoked to come hang with his friends on a new team!

damn this is wild reading positive praise for this management team. awesome.

I was upset when they weren’t moving horvat but since then I have faith again.

Somewhere Benning is trying to read this without glitching out

  14. People have been ragging on this management but outside of the Miller contract (which arguably wasn’t that bad a move) and handling of the Bruce situation, they’ve been pretty good.

Credit where credit’s due. Allvin and Co did a great job with this trade. No risk good reward trade.

Allvin learning from Rutherford’s mistakes and experience. I honestly think Allvin is going to be our next pre 2012 Mike Gillis

Canucks out here with the street market bargaining strategy

  18. nukfan94

    Awesome work.

Looking through these comments though… just remember to hold the mgmt to a high standard all the time. Everyone is always trying to score reactionary victory points. Plenty of time for a bad move to be made *or* more good ones.

  19. N4ZZY2020

Rangers asked for Höglander for Kravstov? Hell no.

  20. -DarkTiger-

Honestly this is good to hear. Whether Kravtsov works out here or not, this organization needs some wins and this is a small one — at least optically speaking.

If Kravtsov gets put with Petey and starts putting up points, this trade will not age well for the Rags.

  21. theEMPTYlife

As frustrating as the Boudreau saga was, it is very reassuring to know this management is capable of holding their ground on trades. It’s also kind of unfortunately hilarious how many people are saying Benning would’ve given up a second, I literally thought that was gonna be the package before the full details released 😂 Benning left us all with a very specific trauma lmao

  22. imyourzer0

Good thing they’re making use of Hoglander…

  23. Decent-Box5009

This is like a dying man finding water in the desert to my ears after benning.
