Two career hockey guys and leaf commentators and they fail to notice that Matthews dip in scoring coincides with him not playing on a line with Marner.
I’m not worried about Matthews at all. I get the point guys but… he said it last year when he set the record for goals for the franchise. The personal milestones don’t matter. Playoffs is what matters . I think he is trying to round out his game (which is showing in his play) I am holding my judgement on this team, good or bad. Let’s see what happens in April, I will just enjoy the games until then.
Can’t have it both ways, if nothing matters till playoffs as a large portion of fans/media believe we might as well see what they do when the games count. ROR has fit in seamlessly 🎉

matts is always in the defencive zone because keefe always puts holl out with matts line. holl constantly invites pressure and gives the puck away. leafs d have the most give aways in the league and holl has the most on the team for a dman. watch when matts is out, the puck will go back 2 holl and he'll give it away and for the next minute they are hemmed in. holl single handedly wasted a full matthews shift and he does it all game

The only issue I had with everything is playing
Holl and Rielly together
Holl + Rielly= disaster! They both are slow on the feet out battled out of position and just can't get to the open pucks quickly enough. Samsonov have so many brain farts he needs to stay Lazer focused or those goals will cost the game in the playoffs. Keefe need to change up the defense core and hopefully Holl is traded In the next trade to bring in a more sound defenseman. Like I said earlier in the year and you all said no! Matthews has been hanging with Justin Bieber like you can't tell me that he's not partying like a Rockstar and that's what's causing him to not push or be focused. He need to stay home and rest instead of bar hopping.
4:05 honestly, I watch the SN Leaf highlights for every game, as I can only watch live action on Saturdays — YouTube being the only media available to me.
And without digressing, I want to say that the character these game highlights is mostly all the same, regardless of the team, and regardless of whether it was a W or a L, which is very dynamic. The Leafs have an offensively strong team, who can sometimes conjure long moments of “suffocation” in the O zone, with their puck possession magic.
That said…the Leaf v. Wild game highlights SUCKED ASS!!! And I can think of no better compliment to give to the Minnesota Wild. I mean there was almost nothing to make a highlight of, lol. Great job, Wild. Now go back out west, and stay there, 😂😂😂😂
