Let’s gooooo. Fuck Florida hockey teams.

  2. Beating the Lightning and the refs is a great day.

  3. jhemrick95

Have no complaints for anyone except the refs and stillman dropping his gloves and getting SMOKED

  4. chickenscampy

This team deserves sell out crowds every game what an effort!!

  5. YoungTroubadour

I’ve never been attached to a bottom 6 grinder more than Tyson Jost

  6. trippyEDM

Well we keep hunting for the playoffs! Let’s go!

  7. sobuffalo

They cant change the jerseys to the Goathead the rest of the way can they?

  8. ITAdmin91

When does the petition to make Black and Red the primary jersey getting announced?

  9. Son_Of_The_Empire

Refs took TB money line and didn’t bother trying to hide it

Didn’t matter lmao little punks can fuck off back to Florida

  10. That was Lyubushkin’s best game as a Sabre, absolute workhorse out there today. Him and Stillman shut shit down. I hope Stillman is ok.

  11. UncleOrton

Turns out having your arguable best player back is pretty helpful

  12. Skyline_BNR34

    Fuck Tampa.

I always enjoy those super Toxic GDTs with Tampa “fans.”

  13. This game send a memo to all teams that bullied this team previous seasons, that this team can responde.

  14. BlackAce_BS13

Fuck the bolts, fuck the panthers, fuck FL in general. Great game.

  15. Solctice89

Get Greenway in here n let’s fucking roll, exactly the type of guy this team needs

  16. Yeah sure this team looks great against garbage like Tampa but just wait till they play the Blue Jackets

  17. ScotiaTailwagger

So apparently we need to bubble wrap our D core. Went on a skid without Sammy and now a skid without Dahlin.

If we split half those losses as wins, we have an extra 10 points in the standings.

  18. ShylocksEstrangedDog

Ok but like. What’s actually stopping us from just wearing the goat heads for every home game? I feel like whatever fines aimed at the franchise for not wearing what they said they’d wear would get canceled out by the revenue brought in from a single home playoff game.

  19. Sandymcjizztits

Jost had a really great game, arguably his best as a Sabre. I hope he wants to stick around another year, I like him as 4C and he can play up the lineup if need be.

  20. HilmDave

It’s really weird that the same team plays every game at KBC but depending on what they’re wearing…. 🤯

What a game. Grit, speed, chemistry. They looked to be really firing on all cylinders tonight. I’d argue this might have been their most complete game all season. And the fact that Tampa tightened up their bullshit at the end is proof positive that the physicality is something we NEEDED. We showed them we weren’t gonna just lie down and if they wanted to push, they were going to have to throw down and THEY backed off.

Lastly this management/coaching staff genuinely give a shit about this team and it’s showing in how the new guys are so eager to perform. Love what Stillman is already bringing to the ice, idgaf if he doesn’t score a single goal this season. He’s already paid his way. Can’t wait to see what Greenway brings to the table Monday.

I haven’t enjoyed hockey like this in almost 20 years.

  21. Great game all around, everybody recorded a shot. We dominated the majority of the game. Comrie with a four game win streak to quiet the haters.

Thought Stillman looked great until he started fighting. Hope he’s okay.

Quinn is flourishing on the top line. He is looking extremely legit and I bet he scores 30+ next year once he’s back with Cozens. Peterka’s growth has been slower but it’s clear that the talent is there, he’s just on a slower development curve. That whole line is going to be nasty next year.

Mittsy is turning a new leaf. Dude’s becoming a consistent high-energy playmaker with a shot threat. 3rd line wing looks good on him.

Oh, and what a night and day difference it is to have Dahlin back, eh?

  22. SmashingTables

Sabres need to wear the goat heads permanently. Home or away, wear them during pregame warmups and stay on the ice until the home team is forced to change

  23. JimmyMcNultyKU

Comrie’s postgames are great to show kids. He’s a good example.

  24. You know why I’m excited for Greenway? Because look what Granato has done with unlocking the potential of the players we have here. A game like tonight it’s obvious.

Greenway is a guy that Granato is *specifically calling out* to Adams for his potential, and Donny thinks he can bring it out of him.

Could you imagine having a 6’6” power forward on this team who knows how to use their body and can be a legitimate scoring threat?

  25. lowerdel

i could listen to comrie postgames all day. such a smart and articulate dude

  26. Historical-Stop-8082

Watching the post game interviews, ngl.. Eric comrie is pretty adorable.

  27. sarcastic_man_13

I know it’s early and I hope Stillman is ok, but is he the same guy that Vancouver fans were claiming was the “tank commander”? He has looked good since he arrived.

  28. seeldoger47

Sabres games are so much more fun when they win. I wish they didn’t ever have to lose.

  29. dj_catch_these_hands

TELL ME THIS DON’T LOOK LIKE A PLAYOFF TEAM

  30. ItsMcLaren

That’s a big old double bird to you TBL

  31. As I said after the OT win in Tampa, fuck that cheap shot team.

  32. TheresA_LobsterLoose

Maybe the entire team is allergic to cotton and the blue & golds are made from cotton and the goat heads are made from polyester. Or the workers at the Blue & Gold Factory hate the Sabres and cover their jerseys in poison ivy or micro doses of LSD, and meanwhile over at the Goathead Factory the workers are all lifelong Sabres fans, have great wages and benefits and fill the jerseys with Love. It’s not even a weird little anomaly anymore, the Pegulas need to assemble a Goathead team and figure out the magic

I’ve said so many times today this was one of the best games i’ve watched sabres play. I felt most of the players who aren’t all-stars showed up, in my opinion at the height of the game this was the best our team could play and it was glorious. Saying the game was good was an understatement, super happy with the team this year is basically what i’m saying.

    My thoughts:

Eric Comrie was awesome in the net tonight.

Ilya Lyubushkin continues his excellent streak of play.

Refs would have rightfully been criticized even if this was an Under-8-C-Division travel game. They missed on a lot.

The line of Jost, Okposo, and Girgensons continues to be feisty and inspiring. Consistently strong!

Ryan Stillman, like Jost, appears to be another great pickup by Kevin Adams.

Vinnie Hinostroza is outperforming a couple of other forwards. At this point in the season, fighting for a playoff spot, he is smarter, more valuable, and consistent of late. Like last season, he is a late season difference maker.

    TONIGHT

    Supermen:

    Eric Comrie,

    Rock Stars:

Ilya Lyubushkin, Tyson Jost, Kyle Okposo, Zemgus Girgensons, Vinnie Hinostroza

    Definitely Showed Up:

Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, Jack Quinn, Victor Olofsson, Craig Mittlestadt, Phil Krebs, Rasmus Dahlin, Owen Powers, Henri Jokiharju, Ryan Stillman

    Capable of More:

Dylan Cozens, JJ Peterka- This isn’t a dig at their effort. It was there.
