I have no reason to believe that Miller's injury is not real, but if there was a very small chance that he could have been moved, the injury pretty well just crushed that tiny little chance. I held the feeling that, even if the Canucks retain 2 to 3-million of his deal, at 5-6 mil a year, Miller is probably a commodity certain teams can use to provide secondary scoring. If the Canucks aren't able to move Miller, his contract along with OEL's, will be the albatrosses that hold down the Canucks' chance of a true re-build, and this team is just destined to be hover between terrible, mediocre to somewhat decent for the next six to eight years with no ability to truly contend.
Used to think Elliot was ok maybe even pretty good for a Toronto reporter, but ever since the stupid and irresponsible rumors' Friedman spread about "Trade Talk" for Demko I can't take him seriously. yeah yeah I know you broadcasters all got some free talking points for a week even if it was to try and refute the trade talk or tone it down ( which several local guys did do to their credit) it was still part of the daily 10 minute Demko "trade talk" segment every show seemed to have for 2 weeks. And of course now we know Demko wasn't exactly pleased with the rumors so it wasn't exactly harmless. In any case I will hear what he has to say but it will from now of be with a grain of salt…maybe even some of that chunky pink Himalayan stuff ?
In regards to Schenn maybe they should just say ok fine if this isn't getting done to our liking we cant keep Luke out like this its not a good look on us and we are gonna tell Luke to suit up. Who knows maybe that will make some GM out them panic a bit and if not then maybe it gets them some brownie points with Luke and his agent for resigning talks
How about this..Canucks beat the Stars in OT with a lineup of AHL players ..Demko in net and Hughes ,Petterson,Boeser all taking useless penalties and Boeser being the direct cause of one ofthe stars goals.NO Miller,Schenn Stillman or Horvat and they got outshot 555-17 and still won..Kuzemenko Rocks!
