The boys played so well love the new boys huge dubs leafs
I was a bit surprised how bad the Leafs looked in the 1st P !
They contuisly allowed the Flames to get by on the right side
and eventually, it resulted in a goal !

However, we need to take in account

back game and the
Leafs were probably tired !
But that is NOT an excuse they had a lot of these new guys that had not played in a few days. Who were on the road and rested !
It worries me that the Leafs are so SLOW .

What a game Marner had.
That 1st Calgary goal, Gustafson got caught. You are gonna see a lot of that because he’s an offensive defenceman. He needs to be paired up with a stay home defender who understands the assignment!

Both teams decide to leave their goalies out to dry but both goalies played a great game.

Markstrom still came out the second best goalie in the game as usual….looked terrible on the two goals …otherwise he played good just not good enough again

Great atmosphere, high quality hockey. Can't wait to be back in Calgary for another great Leafs/Flames game.
Markstrom played and looked like a boss. His set up was fire (pun intended). That said, Toronto got off with a fluke goal, IMHO.
Is it me, or are all of Marner's goals nice?
